Was it ok to do something against rules that didn’t exist at the time? Was it ok to smoke in pubs before it was illegal to do so? Not sure I follow that logic. Rules brought in to try and course correct. City broke the rules that existed 114 times. That’s the only relevant bit here.

Last sentence is right! In Citeh’s case, I dunno, 10-20 charges maybe has a point but 114 over a decade is not merely ‘catching up’ it’s completely destroying the whole purpose of sporting competition. And if there hadn’t been a leak they’d still be doing it today.

Whilst I broadly agree, the tricky bit is that lots of smaller developing nations have made progress by hiring experienced international coaches. Their own coaching structures wouldn’t have allowed for that, so they would be condemned to limited growth.

It largely means I feel better about myself :-) Mathematically it suggests we’re 15th not 18th based on who we’ve all played ie given we’ve played top 3 our 3 pts worth a little bit more than Forest’s 5 as they should have done better given fixtures….. In the real world, means bugger all :-)
