and then you're using the background transparency as the highlight here, it's a basic technique sure but it's still something you have to plan and work with when creating a palette. 's neat. i love dot art.

after playing Mina i can't stop noticing all the little compromises in things like DQ Mon 2 where environments and objects have hard square edges, tricking your eyes into seeing a seamless scene. it's art! it's character!
