I also mixed more hose impact sounds to give a bit more variety. Even though this is a very short part of the game, I wanted it to look, sound and feel just right.

Success! After much trouble with these hoses lol, I've finally fixed the biggest issues with them. To keep it short, I was having sound collision issues because of the many bones & colliders each hose has, along with the character controller interacting with each collider (which I didn't want).

Lol I'm not disagreeing with the fact that "typical" gameplay footage is showing off how the game is actually played on our end. I was clarifying R*'s own tweet; some of what they recorded was from someone actually playing the game, but they moved the camera to make it "cinematic" for the trailer.

Cutscenes and gameplay recorded using a cinematic cam are two separate things; you saying the trailer is purely made from cinematics is wrong. If you want to say that our gameplay won't look like parts of this trailer because we don't have access to a cinematic cam then, sure, I agree.

It does make sense; half of what was in that trailer is cutscenes, and the other half is gameplay. The gameplay segments in this trailer are shot from a different camera, not from the player's pov, to make a more cinematic trailer.

Reworking some models for the new license plates, I added an underride guard to the back of the semi trailer, along with a mount for the license plate.

I found a vintage license plate at an antique shop that matches the state and time period of my game. I cleaned up the image and cut out the letters and numbers so I could randomize them. I also created Illinois and Missouri plates from that decade, using only that one image.

Yeah it's really fun, I try to make it look and feel like it was there all along! I hear ya! I wish I had more time to devote to this project though (and my Titanic: Adventure Out of Time one as well lol), but at this time the horror game comes first!

Good question! I interpret what I think would fit best with the room, so here's an example of the forward wall that players in the original game would never see. This is incomplete though, because along with the potted plants, I'd add in an arrangement of framed pictures too to fill the void.

I think I finally got the solution down for my left hand / arm to track correctly with two-handed objects. The hand seems to be tracking pretty good with the wood plank! Yay! 😀
