Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

the direction they're taking the metroid series in at this point is giving me terminal brain worms, i fear

040

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

like idk, im not crazy about the art direction, but i think the amount of vitriol some of yall have is really off-putting.

the complete dichotomy on my timeline of nearly every speedrunner I know blasting the oot remake, vs. nearly every casual gamer I know being anywhere from fine to really happy with it, with very little overlap, its wild

Hornlitz - Twitch

Hey! My name is Skye, but you can call me Horn too if you like. I speedrun a lot of Zelda games, games with monkeys, and platformers. Sometimes combinations of those.

its been weeks and im still thinking about mina the hollower... its so good... i low key wanna try speedrunning it. it looks real hard though

020

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

insane beatspell pb. 33:27 any% and 42:21 all chapters. genuinely not sure I'm gonna be able to beat these anymore. At least, the all chapters time. i'll keep trying for a bit, but this was genuinely insane. really happy with this

040

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

Beatspell all chapters pb! honestly wasn't expecting this after a bad start to both final chapter and rcq but I'll take it

030

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

beatspell any% 33:47! didn't know i had that much time to save on final chapter lol. lost a lot of time in the first 7 chapters though so i can definitely still beat this! gonna push it lower still.

030

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

earlier today, any% pb. tonight? a pretty big all chapters pb! 43:22! the any% portion was not that great, but then the random cave quest was kinda insane so i got a huge pb. thinking i'll try pushing this to a 42, but with how luck based random cave quest is, it might not be super realistic.

010

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

can confirm, that game has me in a chokehold right now

010

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

got another beatspell any% PB! only by 8 seconds, but that's just how they're gonna be now. got to use a new strategy on pyro, so I wouldn't have PBed without that.

160

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

botched the random cave quest so it didn't end up being an all chapters pb, but the community added a beatspell any% category, and I DID get a pb there! 34:18. a pretty hefty pb! first 4 chapters were kinda bad but the last 4 chapters ranged from decent to amazing.

020

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

early morning beatspell run before work, did not expect to beat my pb by 2 minutes at this point. good run!

080

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

anyways i'm stuck having to move to a new place so i can't do that much speedrunning right now, but once i settle in, i'll probably pick up ape escape 2 again i think. thinking i might try streaming again in the new place too!

010

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

got hit with the GDQ fomo so i did some runs of beatspell from rhythm heaven groove :) i think this is technically WR right now by a few seconds, but it's definitely beatable

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 10/07/2026

i can't believe rhythm heaven groove has yuri in it, goty right here

010

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 05/07/2026

once again seeing all the GDQ posting and being sad I wont be able to attend again for the foreseeable future :( hope everyone going has a great time though! i'll definitely be watching when i can!

Zelda is easily my favorite game series of all time, and every single game has something great to offer. I'm really happy I grew up with this series, and I definitely wouldn't be who I am today without it. Happy Birthday, Zelda series 🎉

#3 - Breath of the Wild Still the only modern open world game I've fully enjoyed. It was the first Zelda game to really feel like Zelda 1 again, but with so much more in it. The mechanics and world design are all really satisfying too, and I love the subtle tone across most of the game.

110

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 22/02/2026

#2 - Majora's Mask Honestly, even 26 years later I don't know if another game has matched the tone of this game (maybe Xenoblade 3, but that's it). The various depictions of how people cope with their impending death is just so impactful and meaningful to me.

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 22/02/2026

#1 - Twilight Princess Mostly nostalgia, was the first game I ever got excited for a game to release, and I just love the tone & graphics. Game plays super well too, even today. Also I really love the story, especially with Midna. Also was one of the first games I tried learning speedrun glitches in

130

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 06/02/2026

ape escape any% no ij pb! 54:08 -> 53:03 (ended the timer early by accident) finally i think i beat my old pb before coming back based on actual skill rather than just a new glitch, so i'm officially Back™ thinking about streaming my next attempts too.

040

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 05/02/2026

had a really fun time on hotfix! got to show off a lot of fun stuff in the run, and got to showcase a category that hasn't really been seen before on gdq :3

230

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 04/02/2026

course i probably just jinxed it for tomorrow but you know, i can dream

000

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 04/02/2026

54:46 -> 54:08 i played worse on most of the levels, but thanks to some insane luck and somewhat cleaning up my worst mistake, i was able to pull off a pb! that was my last run before the hotfix! very good chance i could pb on the hotfix too :)

Ape Escape Any% No IJ splits for a 54:08 run

370

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 03/02/2026

ape escape no ij pb again! 56:32 -> 54:46 i can feel the rust disintegrating

040

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 03/02/2026

i'm gonna be running ape escape on gdq for a hotfix on wednesday! i'm very excited for it :3

0110

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

ape escape any% no IJ pb! 58:27 -> 56:32 only pbed cause there's a new glitch in the run that saves like 5 minutes, but i'm making progress!

060

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

still undecided on if i want to try streaming my runs, i haven't streamed much at all since like, 2020

120

Skye 🏳️‍⚧️ @hornlitz.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

did my first proper full speedrun since 2024! ran some ape escape any% no IJ. it was fun! i mean, it was an awful run, but you know, derusting and all that. excited to keep going with it!
