Can't think of the last time I saw two films in a single week! Two very different documentaries... Glad to visit both the Princess Twin and the Princess Original screens. Enjoyed both films but understood more references in the one about Godspell & 1970's Canadiana 🤣
Two lit movie release posters hanging outside on a brick wall. The posters are for the films "The History of Concrete" and "You Had to Be There". Both have a "Princess Cinema" header, as that is the building in uptown Waterloo on which the posters are fastened.

Thanks @enovapower.bsky.social ! Not only was your website a great source of up-to-date information, but your crews did a fantastic job of restoring power Uptown incredibly quickly. Thank-you!
Before and after photo of buildings at King & William St. in Waterloo ON. The before photo was taken from Google street view and is on the left, showing a hydro pole with equipment standing tall. The after photo was taken at 2pm this afternoon and shows that same pole lying across William St.. There is yellow caution tape visible around the area. The Enova power crews doing the repair are just out of sight.

Lucky to have power, and to be home safe & dry after this afternoon's multiple tornado warnings and 55mm rain. Went for a quick walk in between thunderstorms, and nearby Silver Lake is at the highest level I've yet seen (photo one month ago for reference)... #onstorm

The intersection is Erb & Caroline, and the timing is seconds before getting soakedView of pedestrian bridge & grist mill at Silver Lake in Waterloo Park from the car bridge tonight. Rain drops are visible on the surface of the water, but there is no sign of any waterfall. The cleaner air and cooler temperatures made tonight's walk around Waterloo Park feel almost magical...
View of Waterloo ON's Silver Lake at sunset, with the glass of the Perimeter Institute reflecting the yellows & reds of the sunset, and visible in the waters. There are some apartment buildings behind the PI, and the moon is visible overhead. Some vegetation is in the foreground, and magically there was a breeze and no bugs on the walking path

Love this! Plus flattered that "the algorithm" thinks I deserve Voltaren Active instead of their regular stationary version...
Ad for Voltaren Active showing well used grass and three people playing soccer, presumably with less painful joints thanks to the power of this magical heating gel (note: don't tough your eyes!). Clearly a YouTube ad for the appropriately aged audience before seeing the magic (?!) of this Rick Astley video...

Glorious spring day to admire some unusually goose-free blue skies
Bright blue sky interspersed with white puffy clouds above Silver Lake in Waterloo ON. The view is of the walking path and boardwalk between Perimeter Institute on the left, and the wee lake on the right. There is an apartment building behind the lake, and an unusual lack of Canada geese in the scrubby spring bush foreground

This photo is from 2024, but the fact that our (relatively) small community has a successful LRT is just amazing. Fantastic to live with the Ontario folks in Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge actually planning for a better future 🚈

This was a once in a lifetime avocado opened on May 4th 2018, and that I am still celebrating 7+ years later!

We saw so many people having so much fun doing this on Sep 20 in Waterloo ON that we are hoping to join them as Mrs. Roper & Mr. Furley next year. Our patios were agog with laughter & colour!! This photo isn't mine, but the vibe is spot on.

Got to visit Kitchener's Blues Fest today with OG fans of Goddo's music, from 50 years ago. The tent was super hot, but the sound was good and GRT transit was superb (and air conditioned). A great Sunday!

Thoroughly enjoyed tonight's Jane's Walk in Waterloo Park, which offered several good options for improved community building. But another highlight was later seeing the goslings that survived a busy road crossing beforehand 👀 Thank-you, masked young lady!
