Have they REALLY been debating AI guardrails after they passed the ugly-ass bill (aka big beautiful bill) that PREVENTS states from regulating AI for 10 years? I mean, that bill was passed in 2025 so I think we are fucked until this administration is gone....if it ever is gone.

Videos of people talking can be made with AI. There was a high-up employee in some financial firm duped into giving away hundreds of thousands of dollars to a cyber-criminal who used AI to generate an image and voice of his boss who told him-in a conversation-to transfer a ton of money to him.

Can you provide citations that the Hatch Act hasn't been enforced since 2017? The Hatch Act is REGULARLY rolled out as a law to keep federal government employees "in line" and has made it so none of us talk to each other about politics. The fed gov workforce is the largest in this country.

I work for the federal government in the U.S. They made striking for government employees illegal so that "we" the citizens can't properly resist an administration like the one we have right now. It was intentional. The federal government is the LARGEST employer of U.S. citizens in the country.
