Kansalaisyhteiskunnan alkio, varhainen some, esimerkki digitalisaation voimasta – Miltä näyttää suomalaisen lehdistön paikalliskirjeilmiön historia ja historiografia? Uudessa artikkelissani tarkastelen paikalliskirjeilmiön matkaa marginaalista osaksi kansalaisyhteiskunnan tutkimusta.

#150vuottasitten

Such a pleasure to contribute to this - on the construction and politics of the 'birth experience' in Britain; why do (some) people want to have an 'experience' of birth? What does that, relatively new, concept provide, change, and deny?

We further develop the methodological tools ‘sediments of experience’, ‘layer of experience’, and ‘scene of experience’. For the analysis of cultural legitimation, we introduce ‘scripts’ and ‘narratives’, contributing to the ongoing discussion on the normative and narrative aspects of experience.3/3

This Special Issue has a unique origin story. Back in August 2022, Minna Harjula and I attended a ISCH conference in Verona. Just before our presentation, I caught COVID-19, which forced us to present from our hotel rooms—Minna via her phone and me via my laptop. 2/5
