iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Ugh dunno how I missed that was clearly about the UK. What I get for posting at 2am.

Might be a portable weather station?

It's snot. Ahahahahaha. *coughs into pillow*

000

Yep. Yeeeep. A tiredness that eminates from the deep bones.

000

A lot of public schools have decided to cut the arts/band/etc. More than enough cash for the football team's equipment and basketball coach's salary, though.

100

I am about to cough out my spleen at this rate, followed closely by my kidneys and half my circulatory system.

100

For bonus points, tell me something cool. :)

G'mornin west coast, it's 2am. Who's awake out there, anyway?

110

"hahaha we're going to take a shotgun to our nose to spite our face, it's brilliant"

000

Well as far as your posts go you can limit who sees them. They're working to add more features. This honestly feels like a more modern version of Twitter but it's in Beta still.

100

I am definitely enjoying this. There's a bit of privacy in that you can restrict who's sees your posts?

100

Pretty happy with this cell phone snap

Thank you for being awesome and speaking out against Nazis.

"Don't bring your politics into my cyberpunk subreddit" That's... that's gotta be up there with one of the most inane things I've ever read in my life. #cyberpunk #reddit #twitterban

CBP slow-walking and insubordinately undermining Biden vs snapping into action to reverse policy the moment Trump is inaugurated is a good demonstration of how power works in practice and an argument for why DHS needs to be abolished root and stem

It's a huge country. Not everywhere has the same weather, especially on opposite sides of the Rockies.

Hookechoes @hookechoes.bsky.social · 08/01/2025

Bay Area here. We might bicker like siblings but you guys are still Californians. Heart is breaking. Wish I could go down to help.

I did all of those hashtags. Followed. :P

4/4 Oh yeah, and by the way, the older generations demanding respect also set the entire fucking planet on fire. Somehow I'm finding it difficult to see the respect in gifting a climate crisis to the younger generation like we old heads have done. #genz #thekidsarentallright #genalpha

3/4 I grew up with my mom not knowing where I was 3-7 hours of the day. Z grew up with Zuckerberg and Bezos knowing every SINGLE thing they look at, every place they go to, and free reign to commodify their entire being behind a tiny glowing screen that constantly tells them they aren't enough.

2/4 We, quite unflinchingly, shoved the most insane technological advances the human race has ever developed, gave commercial interests unfettered access to make them as addictive as possible, and we wonder why they're struggling?

1/4. My s/o is a teacher, and I've seen a lot of complaints about how Gen Z has no respect for their elder generations. Full disclosure: I'm an elder millennial. Gen Z and Alpha grew up in a time when the internet was already configured to take full advantage of their developing brains. #genz

⚠️ Pontypridd has been hit by devastating floods and our wonderful independent bookshop, Storyville Books, has seen much of its stock destroyed. If you’re able to buy a book from them, this would go such a long way to help support them rebuild in the aftermath. 👉 uk.bookshop.org/shop/Storyvi...

Nestled in the rolling hills of the South Wales valleys, we are the only independent bookshop in Pontypridd, selling new books and more.

The absolute gall to be so self-centered that you actually get angry because the disaster isn't happening to you is so beyond the pale for me.

"hurr hurr, bomb cyclone? Back in my day we just called it rain. Stupid media trying to overhype everything." There are fatalities associated with this system and close to a million people are without power. These systems have concrete meteorological definitions. They are deadly and dangerous.

I'm so indescribably frustrated that every single time a reddit thread gets posted about a bomb cyclone or AR that people come out of the woodwork with the most asinine, scientifically illiterate takes imaginable.

One of the best, unspoken time savers in terms of doing self-tech support? Websites that report if another website or app is down. Sooo many hours saved wondering if something was off on my end of things and that's why I couldn't connect to a specific server.

Remember, you might have had some bad takes in your life, but have you ever had anything that's "gave #Starfield a 10/10 score" bad?

What specific ink is it? I'm a sucker for a nice sunset orange Noodler's.

Bluesky is amazing, love the starter packs they offer here.

Because you need more adorable, soft, furry things in your feed.

In that sense, it was deeply savory content that allowed me to build more intricate political frameworks in my mind using it as a kind of blueprint. In that regard, it was invaluable and, if not comforting, then at least a slight balm on the bile aftertaste of the modern American political sphere.

I never found TARPB to be a solution or even a guidebook. But what it did for me was to crystallize the illegitimacy of the right wing tactics: the hypocracies, the contradictions, and the lack of any empathy.

The machine. It's the machine. It chews up everyone and either spits them out or turns them into itself. Politics are the Borg.

there are these little tunnels in life I'm looking at a photo of myself with an "I voted" sticker. It was taken less than 12 hours ago. Yet that photo isn't even of the same person I am now. I gotta wake up and be a dad how can I be eager to raise my child into this hellish world that hates itself
