Maybe! I hadn’t considered that. I think it’s also part of a terrible impulse to say that addicts aren’t deserving of help, and having Narcan available “encourages” drug overuse.

Many urban libraries stock Narcan, too. The alternative is letting them die. We can’t make them stop doing drugs, but we can give the paramedics a shot at helping them, at least. I don’t understand why it would be sketchy.

I give tours in Porto and Douro Valley, Portugal, for English-speakers. There aren’t any tour guides on staff who speak Dutch or German or Croatian, so clients ask for an English guide and get me. So far on these tours the clients have asked me about the orange goblin 100% of the time.

On the bus in Braga, Portugal, coming home from Portuguese class. A dragonfly flew on board and buzzed around for several stops until the driver stopped the bus, opened the doors, and shooed him out for nonpayment of the bus fare.

Yeah, it was 100% about the fall of the US into fascism. Now that we’re here, we’re loving the culture and the weather. The people are laid back and very nice. I’m studying Portuguese every day but am having a hard time und people still. All of us are here! Chris has already made a ton of friends.
