This week's Musical Monday is a colorful remake of the 1925 silent film, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. The film was opera singer Nelson Eddy's 1st film role after leaving MGM. Some complain that this version is too frothy, but I think it's a delight. Full review: cometoverhollywood.com/2026/10/12/m...

I bought this dress from Trashy Diva in 2021 and finally had the opportunity to wear it for the 1st time. It always reminded me a bit of Lana Turner's dress in THESE GLAMOUR GIRLS (1939) and like Betty Gables's in SPRINGTIME IN THE ROCKIES (1942). Shoes are by Miss L Fire, who sadly closed in 2021

I’m here once again to express my frustration about how difficult it can be to access classic films. With this week’s Musical Monday pick, I had to buy a questionable DVR copy on eBay just to see it. Poor print quality but a fun film. Review below: cometoverhollywood.com/2026/09/21/m...

I enjoyed the 1943 PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. Very colorful and almost a buddy film with Eddy and Edgar Barrier. But dang, this 1956 Hunchback was not great!
