I play Lily Flambert in the English dub of "The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life". She's beautiful, she's fierce, she could use a therapist, and I love her, your honor. All my gratitude to Jerry Jewell and our engineer Sawyer - catch us on @crunchyroll every Tuesday!

I pop up in episode 2 and 3 of the Lord of Mysteries specials on Crunchyroll - notably as this scruffy puppy who made the mistake of annoying the smartest dog in Loen. Huge thanks to Jonathan Rigg and Jeremy for having me!

I'm so happy to join the cast of You and I Are Polar Opposites as Noa, this cute cheerleader with truly amazing purple hair. I love how much personality all the characters in this show have. Huge thanks to Dani Chambers for thinking of me, and our engineer Jameson for a great session!

One cool thing about simuldubs - sometimes you're cast as a bit character in a show, and then a season later they unexpectedly return. This happened twice in one week - my gal Cosauko along with the Jurassic High Baseball team in 100 Girlfriends, and this meanie in Trapped in a Dating Sim.

The boys at @worstpossible.world dropped their 250th episode this week, and now that I'm not crushed under the weight of my responsibilities I'm so proud to say that I was along for the ride. You can listen for free on your favorite podcatcher, and there's so much more where that came from!

I am reading Dogsred and I think it's sick, but by far the funniest part of it is when Noda-sensei just completely lifts a character from Golden Kamuy and plops him into this story about ice hockey.

First panel: an older man sits on his heels on top of an ice rink's divider line. He has a wild haircut and facial hair akin to Tetsuzou Nihei from Golden Kamuy.

Second panel: a young skater stares at him awestruck. Thought bubble reads "That's Oino-Kami High's Coach! Toshimitsu Nihei!"

Like this image is EXTREMELY funny on its own, but gets even FUNNIER if you know the events leading up to it.

A man with a moustache dressed as an egg wearing a detective costume (an "egg-tective"). The chyron below him reads "Vince: Unemployed".

That's a wrap on Wind Breaker Season 2 ❤️ As the season draws to a close, we've got scary new villains, mysterious new allies, and trouble brewing - it was nice to pop in and make sure the boys got a break. I have it on good authority things are about to get wild, so stick with us for season 3!

My forever thanks to @jeremyinman for casting me and consistently leading me towards more specific, interesting choices, and to @leegeorge23 for seamlessly taking us home and listening to me gush about Chiyo's sad little storyline.

Hollis Beck @hollisbeck.com · 26/06/2025

As soon as I laid eyes on this angry doll of a woman, I fell for her. Chiyo has turned out to be one of my most challenging roles since working in anime, and the fact that I got the chance to stretch myself alongside legends in a franchise this major still boggles my mind.

Hey scumbags (affectionate), I'm the English voice of Eleventh Inspector Chiyo Obata in "Psycho-Pass Season 3" and "Psycho-Pass: First Inspector." I get to stir up trouble alongside Ian Sinclair, and also call him a lot of names. The whole season is on Crunchyroll - I'm super proud of this one.

Caught the closing performance of "h*llo k*tty Syndrome" at the Undermain yesterday; gorgeously madcap exploration of our cultural obsession with people's bodies and identities. More stuff like this! More new plays! More queer art! More WEIRD art! I will drink it all up!

Y'all, this is a VERY exciting day for the Wind Breaker dub. 1) We get my favorite scene of the season so far, where Sakura smiles and laughs for the first time. It's so gentle and lovely and I am overwhelmed by how good these boys are.

Are you all LOVING this season of Wind Breaker? I'm so impressed with what I've seen so far! Big Sis Kotoha makes her first appearance in episode 17. HUGE thanks to @jeremyinman.bsky.social man and Ian for having me! I've missed my girl. 🥰

Awards are meaningless, blah blah blah, but if you told me 10 years ago that I would contribute to TWO fan favorite shows in 2024 - Wind Breaker and Too Many Losing Heroines - I would have thought you were teasing me. Thank you, anime fans, for your incredible passion. Here's to another year!

Anime Corner's list of top 10 anime of 2024, as follows:
1. The Dangers in my Heart Season 2
2. Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
3. Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!
4. Days with my Stepsister
5. The Apothecary Diaries
6. Wind Breaker
7. Dan Da Dan
8. Oshi no Ko: Season 2
9. Date a Live V
10: Ragna Crimson

A partial list of Anime Corner's winners for Best Supporting Female Character in 2024; Kotoha Tachibana from Wind Breaker is in 13th place!

If I had watched Point Break when I was younger maybe I would have figured out I was bi a little bit sooner.

Patrick Swayze as Bodi in Point Break (1991), looking extremely attractive.

Episode 7 of "Headhunted to Another World" is on the books! Uchimura pulls out an incredible win with some tricksy tactics. But he couldn't have done it without Sylphid - either in real space cranking out magical tools, or in dream space playing the classical guitar. Watch the magic on Crunchyroll!

Sylphid, a green-haired elf woman with glasses, pouting about being asked to do extra work.

Sylphid, in costume as a large bug-like creature, playing a classical guitar expertly in a quaint izakaya.
