The book of the Northeastern Huskies football program was closed in 2009, mainly due to poor performance and disinterest (I was there for four years at that point and gun-to-my-head I could not tell you where they played their home games, except "not on campus"). They wrapped holding an all-time record of 209-365-17, with 101 of those wins coming under the tenure of Joe Zabilski (head coach, 1948-71), one of three head coaches with a winning record at the program (the others being Alfred McCoy, 1933-36, and future two-time UMass head coach Don Brown, 2000-03).

The Huskies have one bowl appearance, losing 27-6 against Eastern Carolina in the second Eastern Bowl, held in 1963 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Here are some facts about the Eastern Bowl:
--Northeastern held a 6-0 lead to start! They did not maintain that lead.
--The first Eastern Bowl was instead known as the Cement Bowl.
--The second Eastern Bowl was the last Eastern Bowl.
--The "preliminary game" was the Lehigh Valley 115lb All-Stars facing the Little Quakers of Philadelphia; I assume it was more competitive.
--Neither the Cement Bowl nor the Eastern Bowl have Wikipedia pages.

They also have one D-IAA tournament appearance, having been co-champs (with Maine) of the A10 conference in 2002. They then immediately turned that into a 45-14 loss against Montana.

--$40.00 - $10.00 per alumnae on the 2026 Olympic women's hockey team (4 - Coyne Schofield, Frankel, Philips, Scamurra). The gold medal winning team, that is.
