Just watched The Texas Chain Saw Massacre on Amazon Prime. The subtitles were super scuffed and kept picking up song lyrics and stuff that wasn't there. I was amused and baffled by the multiple YouTuber sendoffs in there. #filmsky #horrorsky

image of the ending of the texas chainsaw massacre but there's a subtitle on screen that reads 'thank you so much for watching'

baby carno terrified by pangolin 😂 #dwarffortress

A Dwarf Fortress screenshot from the dinosaur update which shows a young carnotaurus running away 'overcome with terror'. the only thing happening is a pangolin curling into a ball

End of Feb results. I fell off of film a day but I don't think it was possible anyway

Screenshot from my Letterboxd diary of films from the last week of February. Stand outs are Train Dreams, 4.5 stars; Iron Lung, 3.5 stars

This month's progress on film a day (I have hidden shorts here to fit) #filmsky #letterboxd 48 features and 14 shorts so far this year Some shocking late contenders for my top 10 of 2025 here.

A screenshot of my Letterboxd diary for this month.

top films are Pillion, Feb 1, 4.5 stars
Razorback, Feb 17, 4 stars
Sirat, Feb 4, 4 stars
Total Balalaika Show, rewatch Feb 9, 4 stars
The Voice of Hind Rajab, Feb 8, unrated - I don't subject realistic/current event films to the film rating system - but it would be 4.5 stars

hey, I haven't posted here for a while I'm doing a last-minute 2025 catchup before the Oscars to see if there's anything cool I missed, with a secondary goal of at least equalling the date per films seen this year #Letterboxd #filmsky #horrorsky Lemme know if there's anything I should see!

Cronenberg + GTTM wincon, luckily RPat is good for both but I don't need a wincon to play cosmopolis like a madlad

there's a brand of instant noodle cakes here that are designed to be eaten raw as a 'snack'. it was definitely a fun treat as a kid.

Yeah but this alt cover is metal AF

Incredibly metal alternative book cover for Crabs: The Human Sacrifice (book 6 in the Crabs series) by Guy N. Smith. Tagline: Hungry for human flesh, they came crawling ashore. The image is in classic 80s pulp horror style, with a spiky frame, and shows a crab in front of a very Christian altar, raising a very bloody and ornate sword by the blade in its claw

yeah, some of the movies they screen are good, they did From Beyond last month. it's a combination of beloved trash and flops I think

Successfully pulled off the Udo Kier into Jeepers Creepers Reborn trap. there is no way out of this (well, there is if you know the crew, but I'm holding that in case someone skips) #cine2nerdle the one bonus from crowdfunding these terrible movies many years ago is I know everything this guy made

000

Holgast @holgast.itch.io · 25/01/2025

I call this one the 'detour to Thailand' (it's also known as 'get boonmee'd'). most players know this already, but it's a fun little jaunt #cine2nerdle you in through memoria, do weerasethakul up to to another mukhdeeprom and then get out through another movie they've done, usually guadagnino

Holgast @holgast.itch.io · 13/01/2025

even if I never get good at this game, this will be my crowning achievement, the first to play Saloum (2021) #cine2nerdle you can get out of it through loro btw
