And most crazy of all acknowledge the pain they've caused and APOLOGIZED! I feel like people don't understand how big that is for Izuku. People diminish it but katsuki acknowledging what he did wrong and validating the pain he caused is so fucking huge.

The people around him grew and changed because of him and for him. Really, his character is consistent, and the people around him do better for him, Katsuki specifically. Kacchan grew and changed and came to love him regardless of that love being platonic or not.

I will say what is so aspirational and has me absolutely YEARNING for bkdk is that Deku was so unloved and really nothing about him changed, he was always a dork and passionate and willing to love and easy to cry. Izuku never really changed he just became traumatized.
