Shohei still looks lost and he's not getting any healthier. JDP gets an AB and immediately works the count, draws the walk, and scores in that big inning. No one expects a full benching for Shohei, obviously, but JDP getting an occasional DH start should be a real conversation IMO.

Given Shohei's physical limitations and now his mental/mindset (slumping hard, looking uncomfortable/overwhelmed, losing ABS challenges), I think you seriously have to consider at least giving him one game off a series. Call it a maintenance day off, and let JDP start that game.

Just watched the Lanterns season finale. As a show, I thought Season 1 was quite fun. It was a solid 8/10. As a *Green Lantern* adaptation, it was just okay. Maybe a 6.5/10.

Don't like saying this, but there's an argument that Shohei's insistence on playing through numerous injuries to prioritize his individual two-way play may have jeopardized LA's chances as a team this October. And there is some selfishness to that IMO. Just hope he adjusts ASAP.

I definitely understand the argument that JDP can only get so many ABs as a bench bat in the postseason. But man... every AB feels like guaranteed production from the kid. He has a low K rate. He takes pitches. He has power. He can hit with 2 strikes. That's a dangerous weapon to have in October.

This might be the best bit of headcanon I've seen re: Lanterns about Hal's ring always running low on battery - He has to recite the oath to charge his ring. But Hal never gets a full recharge since there is zero conviction/belief whenever he recites the oath, etc.

Things haven't changed with Scott. As things stand, I'd rather see Roki or Phillips over Scott. If Bubic's recovery goes well, he's another guy with pedigree I'd trust over Scott too. Right now, Scott is in the second tier of guys with Stewart, Henriquez, and Dreyer/Vesia.

Unpopular take? If Glasnow stays healthy enough to have a good/solid playoff run, I would sell high-ish on him and get as much value back as possible. Figure there's enough depth to replace him btwn Stone, Wrobo, and Sheehan. Even more so if Bubic and Skubal re-sign w/ LA.
