I just watched Netflix’s movie, “A House of Dynamite”. It has the worst ending I’ve ever seen in a movie. The absolute worst! So bad I’ll probably never watch another Kathryn Bigelow movie ever again. I’m tempted to spoil it right here, just to save you the trouble of watching it, but I won’t.

The “Big Bang” theory holds that the universe spontaneously arose from nothing. The God theory holds that an entity created the universe. To my mind, both theories are equally ridiculous, and it’s not surprising that the Big Bang theory was originally proposed by a Catholic priest.

If you’ve never fallen from stepping on ice, you might imagine sliding along, arms cartwheeling, and then falling. It’s not like that at all. Instead, you’re walking, and in a split second, your legs don’t exist, and you hit the ground before you know what happened. It’s instantaneous and brutal.

Can someone pls explain to me how it’s ok for a veterinarian to refuse to offer “quality-of-life” or “likely outcome” opinions to help me with the decision to euthanize, but then say I “made the right decision” AFTER I’ve agonized over it without the benefit of those informed opinions? Home from the hospital at last! Now they say it’s a 3-month road to full recovery, provided I don’t get overconfident and re-injure myself (which I think I’m prone to do…I don’t take incapacitation well). Anyway, it’s good to be home. It helped so much to read your well wishes in the hospital! TY❤️

Update #4: Since I’ve been here, every day at 5am a tech has come into my room to x-ray my chest. The 1st 2 of these were so painful that the 3rd time, I pled for my life, until they agreed to dose me with IV pain meds b4 the x-ray. 2day, no meds, & I’m calm enough to write about it mins later. Yay!

Another update: I am ready to get the frock outta here! The docs don’t think so or I’d be home. They want me to poop, and my blood pressure makes them nervous. But I smell like a hamper full of dirty socks. It’s gross! So what if I can barely move? Let me recuperate in a bathtub! Ugh.

Update: A physical therapist came in today. His first order of business was to get me out of bed. He managed to sit me up, but that was so excruciating we stopped there. Now it looks like I’ll be in the hospital at least a week, maybe longer. Everything hurts more after today’s session. Ugh.

Well, shit. I’m in the hospital in a boatload of pain. I slipped on some ice today while tending the chickens and fell backwards onto their metal watering can, destroying it. Had a CT scan a few hours ago. Doc just came in and told me I have 5 broken ribs and a partially collapsed lung. I hate ice!🤬

Did you know? If your iPhone is telling you your music is too loud and turning down the volume against your will, you can stop it if you’re using Bluetooth earbuds. Just open Settings and go to Bluetooth. Find your earbuds, tap the blue “i”, and change Device Type to Car Stereo. I did it. It works!
