1 sheet of foil + pennies = an epic lesson in problem solving! 🪙⛵️ Before diving into a formal 4-step problem solving process, students built foil boats, loaded them with pennies until they sank, and revised their designs on the fly. The takeaway? Problem solving is a process, not a destination! 🧠✨

Bottom row: Students gather closely around a white water bucket on a standing desk, leaning in with anticipation as pennies are added to a boat.

Shoutout to Partners Interpreting for a powerful, hands-on training session on navigating VRI. HMS students dove into "real-life" mock scenarios to practice the vital skill of self-advocacy and learn how to ensure their communication needs are always the top priority.

This is what it’s all about. Seeing the pure joy on these faces as walk into our school every day reminds us why we love what we do. We are so proud to be a part of their journey and can't wait to see all they accomplish! 🎒⭐️
Four preschool-aged children stand in a row on a concrete landing near a set of school stairs. They are holding hands and looking at the camera with smiles. All four children are wearing lightweight jackets. The school building is out of frame; the background shows a sidewalk and a quiet residential street stretching behind them.
