no shade to this guy but like this kind of video is popping up in my recommended increasingly often and it makes me feel a little sick every time. an artistic masterpiece that defined a genre played through a clauded pc port with a diluted camera mod and dlss 5 faces over ps1 models
An hour long YouTube video titled "Silent Hill (1999) with DLSS 5 and Camera over the shoulder mod Gameplay Part 1 | PC Port - 4K 60fps". The thumbnail seems to be an AI-upscaled frame from the cutscene where you are introduced to Cybil, while on the right there's an overlay saying "4K ULTRA HD" and "DLSS 5 On". The video was uploaded 3 days ago and has 7.5k views.

his name is Johnathan
A low poly, vaguely rat-shaped creature. He does not have textures, for he does not need them. Flat colors are enough. There are two random reference images of rats in the background.

@NotNite so apparently i had a dream where i was in poland very specifically you were there and we were watching a movie or something and every action i took had its volume cranke up by like 10x the normal amount of sound it would make and no matter how much i drank from this one glass it would never stop being literally filled ot the brim

and the entire room was slightly leaning a few degrees to the side

i think you fucking invaded my dreams and Cursed me for your birthday

bought the NEOTOKYO OST CDs from @stumpyfrog.bsky.social a little while back and it finally arrived. yeah this is what we call "peak" right here. the art on both the foldout and the covers is beautiful and Ed Harrison's music is just as good as it always was 💜

I've been learning reverse engineering and DLL hooking, and here's a little thing I've been cooking up; CoFHook! this is a ddraw proxy dll that backports some modern goldsrc functionality and attempts to fix some bugs in Cry of Fear. still a heavy WIP but it's pretty cool I think
Cry of Fear running with an open console window, displaying debugging information for a set of hooks.

it appears that hl2dm's 64-bit hammer works just fine! I compiled the map too and it didn't show any errors. will see if it works in-game in just a moment #sourceengine #halflife
A screenshot of the 64-bit version of Valve's Hammer editor included with the latest update to Half-Life 2 Deathmatch. The options menu is open, showing a game configuration pointing to map compilers in a "x64" directory.Another screenshot of 64-bit Hammer, this time with a simple dev texture room with a few entities, showing that the editor appears to work without issues.
