Went exploring today. First is the Hopewell Suspension Bridge and Foot Trail in Pictou County. Second is the Culloden Memorial Carin in Knoydart, on the boarder of Pictou and Antigonish Counties. The third is gorgeous Arisag Provincial Park in Antigonish. Nova Scotia is truly breathtaking!! 😀

Life has gotten heavy, I needed a little break. Nature soothes my soul at times like this. #asters #ferns #flowers #nature #autumn #photos #October2026

I thought these were the same type of butterfly, until google lens told me the first one is a Painted Lady and the second one is an American Lady. You can tell by the "eye"spots on the wings. Who knew! lol #butterfly #paintedlady #americanlady #insect #wings #nature #photos #august2025

It's contained as of now, they are just dealing with hot spots.

It's awful. This was the view from my deck. Thankfully the wind didn't shift and the fire didn't come my way. A few hunting cabins were lost, but no homes. It hurts to see what is left behind.

Devastation from the Jacket Lake Wildfire, July 2026. This fire was burning approximately 6km from my home. VERY scary. My important things are still packed, and probably will stay that way for the rest of the Summer. Thankfully, no homes or lives were lost. Firefighters deserve WAY more credit!!
