I had two friends who had a crush on each other forever. Their first date? This movie. Got messages the next morning from BOTH of them worried that this movie was a warning and maybe the date was a mistake! 🤣 Neither knew what the movie was about going in, but both saw it as a red flag coming out!

I took a class once on the 'history of rock and roll'. The teacher was great; he did a whole study of bad lyrics in great songs, pointing out that historically there have always been bad lyrics 🤣 That said, this is a great way to lead into the "Season of the Witch". Absolutely love the doodle~ 💖

You know why I saw this one? Because it was a “two movies on one tape” vhs and young video-store-junkie me said “two movies for one price? How could I loose?!” …anyone who’s seen both movies knows the answer to that 😝

Adorably silly movie, very underrated.

Nope. Had to look this one up. Sadly, out of my jurisdiction... Though she *is* the kind of cute character that at the time made me want to have a computer so I could play this kind of game 😅

This ain’t her first rodeo. Some folks just have the foresight to think ahead…

Dang, where does someone get a job like that? *AHEM* Um, just… asking for a friend, ya’ know? 😅

House of Hjönk @hjonk.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

YES! I endured this movie because I watched it with someone who enjoyed it, so I couldn’t walk out on it. But I couldn’t understand why I would want to watch a whole movie following a person I wouldn’t want to spend one minute with. I hated this movie so, so much, and Annie is 100% of my problem

Afraid I’m not much of a gamer, and I’m pretty bad at the ones I enjoy. How about you play and I’ll provide snarky commentary? 😈

Bards are so much fun! My former D&D group was pressured by our DM to play the Curse of Strahd campaign. We weren't into their push for 'hard mode' gaming, so we made an all-bard party. It was a lot of fun! I miss my tiefling bard with her hurdy-gurdy; I played clips on my phone for music in game...

I helped run a seasonal drive-in a few years back, so I saw a bunch of random movies as projectionist. ET, The Blues Brothers, Get Out, Skyscraper, Super 8, The Lego Movie, Much Ado About Nothing... Jurassic Park was so popular it got held over... I saw it so many times I can never watch it again!

Seconded. I also love using the YT livestreams when I'm sick, because in those cases preferences go out the window and I'll watch pretty much any episode without bias (heck, it was the only way I could survive "The Castle of Fu Manchu" in one sitting!).

I split my reading: Cozy stuff during the day (i.e. lunch break, etc), and something heavier (often non-fiction) for evening reads. So right now I'm revisiting a favorite author for 'cozy', and a new topical pickup for 'heavy'.

I used to have friends who were big wrestling fans. I knew the name of *one* wrestler, and I used to drive them insane with that fact, considering it was only because of a joking reference they had once made...

As always, updates (no news is good news?) are appreciated… as are the ever drool-worthy doodles 🤤

I… vaguely remember this one. They used to show it on the Sci-Fi Channel on their “Saturday Anime” block. I can’t remember the film that well, but it had good visuals and I’m nostalgic for it just because I miss that weekly programming block 😅

Calling it now: I am going to watch this movie* and end up severely disappointed because that line won’t be nearly as hilarious as your take on it. 🤣 *(Literally never seen any of the movies on this six-film run so I’m queuing up a playlist)

Name an album you bought based on the cover alone.

Looking forward to it! I'm also very excited to test out the Wood Walker mask I bought from you for Halloween... 😈 These designs are so much more amazing (and terrifying) in person!

Despite the madness, I am glad you have persisted. Adorable doodles or no, I'm glad to hear you're still out there. I've said it before, and I will damned well keep saying it! 😝

Thanks~ @tridark.bsky.social does the best work with Ashley... so I'll toss in one more 😈

110

House of Hjönk @hjonk.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Oh most definitely~ Ashley's the sort who's so stuck on foreplay he'd probably forget the whole 'fucking' part until reminded... he's a bit flighty like that. 😝 (kudos to @tridark.bsky.social for this fantastic piece, btw)

Hey, no fair, you took my movie 😜 I watched that movie endlessly when I was little... I still watch it annually, too. And also, the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true... or was that the flagon with the dragon? 😵‍💫

I remember reading part of the first book when it came out in the states. I thought it was bland and generic and gave it away to a friend who ended up becoming a huge fan. Then I couldn't get away from it and I didn't get *why* it was so big. And now I kind of get to feel happy I never did 😅

Ah, such an odd nostalgia for me. I saved up and got it on layaway for my first PC. I was so excited to get a computer that could play games... turns out the computer could *not* play games, and often froze up when I tried it. 💀 I learned a valuable lesson... I think? Pardon the random aside 😅

Ah, Naga the Serpent. One of the best pain-in-the-ass characters in anime... 😝 Always love seeing her pop up randomly...

Aha, that makes more sense! I spent a long period seriously addicted to Big Finish's stuff, and I honestly wished there were more audio companies who made these kinds of audio dramas. Good soundscapes are hard to come by!

Wow, I just realized I still haven’t watched this one. Being a kid who grew up on Full Moon movies, this should’ve absolutely been in my wheelhouse.

OMG I forgot about that one… Such a weird clip show of a flick! …that said, I do miss the era of these kinds of oddball clip shows. As a kid I’d watch tapes like this with a notepad trying to find as many titles as I could!
