So, I'm reading an article about a female crane operator that faces doubts all the time because she is a female, link in next post below. This is the top comment.

Screen cap from article about a female crane operator from poster Gerald Tone, made 28 March, 2023, that reads:

"There's no way she's qualified. It takes years to be safely experienced as a crane operator. What crew would trust her? Unless .she been doing this since she's 8 I don't believe it."

Current “AI” from my perspective is less like a technological breakthrough—“the genie is out of the bottle”—and more a research fusion reactor: no matter how much energy and money you throw at the thing, nothing changes the fact that it costs more energy than it produces

Are you familiar with the dark folk group Tabernis? They are beekeepers who formed a musical duo that plays medieval-inspired music. One plays bagpipes, and the other a bass drum, and they dress as medieval beekeepers with bees contributing to the background of most songs.

Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.

Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads:

The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you.

And our governments are very much the same...
