In 410 the Roman troops in Britain were withdrawn. They never came back. I wonder if the bombers will ever come back to Fairford?

Is scrapping the triple lock electoral suicide for Labour. It would be for the Tories. But I would have thought it would have just made grumpy old people who always vote Tory even grumpier. That wouldn't hurt Labour and would give me personally a laugh.

Here's an idea. Instead of having a war, Iran and US could have a competition to see which one can rebuild Gaza fastest and best? The winner gets tarif free trade with the rest of the world.

I made a joke the other day about the supposed attack on the US airbase actually being a badly worded Tesco online delivery order. I wonder if that was what actually happened?

The Americans shouldn't want to fight Iran. The Americans don't want to fight Iran. But given that they are fighting them, they should be able to win. Why they aren't winning seems to me to be the most interesting question.

At the time of writing this, the Fairford incident could be anything on a spectrum from organised attack by foreign government all the way to badly chosen Tesco delivery order. But if it is an attack, it's hard not to argue that it's a legitimate military target.

A problem with being a scientist and working in a lab is that a lot of non-scientists make jokes about you and your team being "mad scientists". I've come up with this infographic that explains that most mad people aren't scientists, and most scientists aren't mad. I hope it helps.
Venn diagram showing that the intersection of the set of people who are both mad and scientists is small and so the assumption that the scientist you are actually talking to is mad is flawed. (At least most of the time.)
