This is just plain, objectively wrong no matter how you look at it. The simple point is that absolutely anyone who devoted more than 15 years putting their life on the line in the cause of protecting the people of the United States has earned their retirement. The cruelty is the point for Trump.

Same could be said for health insurance (and many other types of insurance). It's not about providing services to ordinary Americans...it's about skimming profit for the ultra-wealthy off of the needs of the most vulnerable.

I've got a solution. Just give each state the proportion of the FEMA funds that they contribute to the government in taxes paid. That will shut them up real quick.

Not to mention over a million dead (at least 40% of them unnecessarily so, according to what I've read) from COVID.

I can’t think of a better way to honor Jimmy Carter than donating to Habitat for Humanity. He and Rosalynn first began volunteering with the nonprofit in 1984 — 3 years after leaving the White House. They volunteered every year until 2020, eventually helping to build and repair 4,390 Habitat homes.

I have absolutely no problem with teaching kids why "under God" is (actually) in the pledge, how Christianity (really) influenced the founders, and the (real reasons) why religion is important to the American people. In fact, I support that wholeheartedly.

Now don’t get me wrong here, my instincts have always steered me clear of religion and well it should when it’s been organised by the greed merchants who abide in wealth and power and let their believers starve, dictating dubious morals from the back of bullet proof vans. #StyleCouncil #PaulWeller

It is understandable, though. I mean, if R's knew their misdeeds would be revealed, the party would have a tough time fielding candidates.

This entire sad episode is illustrative of why I’d rather watch old races and listen to “And Colossally” than watch F1 today. Today’s closed shop is stifling. It’s was the new/small teams…even those with no chance of winning…that made F1 really fun.
