I cannot listen to people who know nothing about teaching go on about how awful schools are and how it’s just not fun for kids. The real problem in schools is that we’ve created a generation of people who cannot be bored. Not every subject or every lesson is going to suit every child within a class

Ok I need advice. Finished my masters this year and I know I want to write and share history but I’m not sure if I need to do a phd to gain some more confidence to do this. I get massive imposter syndrome and think a PhD might help me feel more of an expert. Or should I just start writing?? Heeellpp

Just reading about masculinity in Victorian times when I’m presented with how men felt they needed to escape from the boredom of family life so they retreated to a smoking room, a billiard room or even a den.
