From the Scottish Horse photographic collection, taken in Egypt, 1916. The image was captioned "Mountain Artillery" which may refer to one of the Mountain Battery Regiments of the Artillery of the Indian Army who were stationed in the same area at the same time.

This is Trooper Gilbert Fenion photographed around 1918. Gilbert joined the Scottish Horse regiment on the 28th of September 1914, he was 21 years old. Gilbert was a postman before joining the Scottish Horse.

A photograph of Birnam from an unusual angle! This image was captured by George Washington Wilson and captioned "Torwood near Birnam". It was entered in his catalogue by 1877 and features local buildings such as St Mary's tower which was demolished in the 1960s.
