Harvie is tired of all the bullshit.
An orange and gray cat with split colors down her face, glaring at a spot near the camera, wishing to not be bothered as she sits 3 and a half inches away from my ear on the back of the couch.

Marble, Agatha, and Harvie say hi. We're pretty sure they're all cats, but the jury is still out on if Marble is in fact a squirrel.

A post in a Kagi forum from the Kagi CEO in 2024z. If this is still true, I wouldn't want to use them either. I'm still on DuckDuckGo until a new default in Safari is available anyway. Hmmmmmm kagifeedback.org/d/5445-recon...
A reply to a post on Kagi by the CEO on use of Yandex:

search results, period. Kagi excels at this precisely because we remain unimpressed by world politics. The moment 'politics' becomes a factor in search results is the moment I stop working on a search engine.

Yandex represents about 2% of our total costs and is only one of dozens of sources we use. To put this in perspective: removing any single source would degrade search quality for all users while having minimal economic impact on any particular region.

Don't mind me, just working with one foot on Jupiter's moon and another in my office.
A spatial workstation viewed through Apple Vision Pro overlaid on an L-shaped desk, the Jupiter environment dialed in slightly, widgets on the wall featuring the clock, weather, music, ad photos, and apps open to a text document, Safari, and RSS feed. - I wish the invoice was more customizable/editable - My projects don't have tasks or sub groupings, but the Invoice shows the task as 0 hours then a sub task of "general" and a subtotal then total? It should only show the one main task field. Otherwise it's pretty solid. I like the various views.

Bluesky photo update means it is time for some cat pics.
Marble is a brown and black patterned cat with a pink nose and green/yellow eyes. She's reaching out with her paw, claws extended, in a big stretch from behind a fern. It makes her look like a jungle cat on the prowl.Harvie is a cat with orange and gray fur on her face, a white chin, and patterned dark fur on her body. She sits with her chin pointed up and eyes looking high as she lies on the wood floor of a screened in porch. A fern is visible in front of a trellis behind her.Agatha is a black cat and he's seated at the kitchen table. His big yellow eyes look away from a blue alcoholic drink in a margarita glass on the table. His mouth is open slightly so you can see his fangs in a goofy expression.

Love that this is the result of putting Tim Cook and F1 into Image Playground. Just inexplicably bad. 🤣 Excited for Drive to Survive on Apple TV tonight though.

Cleaning up my music library by removing singles and adding their full albums under each artist, then listening to albums in their entirety. No idea why I became so focused on singles for the past decade when I grew up listening to CDs. Anyway, here's my most recent albums. Album names in alt text.
Album art for Remi Wolf "Juno" (A woman squatting with dogs patterned on the background), Alabama Shakes "Boys & Girls" (White album cover with circle patterns under the album and artist name), Linkin Park "From Zero" (a metallic triangle symbol in pink and blue ink), Sarah Kang "How I Remember" (A sketched woman sitting in grass), Laufy "Bewitched" (A woman laying down in a dress with a shiny piece of headgear and star earrings), Tomoo "Dear Mysteries" (A wreath on a shelf with smoke and various items and books), Linkin Park "Hybrid Theory" (A man in a hoodie with graffiti fairy wings holding a pennant flag), Panic! At the Disco "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" (Magazine style clippings of various artist party goers at a bar seat), and natalie jinju "Last September" (woman walking through a library)

Idc if you use Instagram, but I'm more confused by the reaction to Instagram doing Nazi shit and you feeling the need to find ways to bypass their Nazi rules. Maybe don't use the Nazi platform, that would be a better protest than giving voice to their platform and blocking people that disagree.
A post from slothroosmap saying they blocked someone for asking why they use Instagram.

This is weird, idk how, but for some reason the Apple Watch says I burned 1400 calories while working from my desk today, with the most active 340 or so calorie hour taking place when I know I didn't even stand up. Funny enough, no odd heart rate or exercise data just calorie. All from Watch.
Apple Watch goal rings closed with the Move metric shown as 1431/400 calories.

Reading Gurman's newsletter and my post yesterday and it's amusing how we land in such different positions. He echoes the pundit view of "Apple must get AI right" when customers are buying iPhone 17 faster than iPhone 16 in spite of less AI promise up front. And I said this on glasses development:
Screenshot of text that says: "In the meantime, Apple plans to release a set of smart glasses. They're expected to be revealed in 2026 and sold by early 2027. If work on a thinner and lighter Apple Vision Pro has gone as far as it can in the short term, then there's no reason to leave team members focused there. I have little doubt that both Apple Vision Pro and smart glasses can and will exist in parallel."
