And my latest piece, the only thing I actually quite like. On this I tried to start with a dark background and add the light instead of the other way round and think it worked really well! Again was supposed to be a quick sketch but I think I spent like 3 or 4 hours on it. Finished this 2 days ago.

And then *this* lesson was also supposed to be a quick sketch but… how the fuck do you draw a dodecahedron?!? I got way too obsessed about getting the shape right and then kind of gave up on doing the shadows properly. Even my best attempt I still don’t like. Stupid thing.

Started working on some shading. Pic number one was done the day after the last pic, pic two took me I think 3 whole days of messing around with it until I was satisfied enough to move on. And yes drawing nice and even circles was still a problem even after that many lol.

I then wanted to focus on getting used to what drawing on the iPad feels like without having to worry about getting the shapes right. So, full disclaimer, I traced the line-art of this WIP. I also don’t think I’ll finish colouring this as it’s served its purpose and I have moved on.
