Whatchu know about those apprentice tattoos? I’m like a human fridge covered in artwork. This is “Baby’s First Moth” and I love it. I have EDS so my skin is hyper extensible and kind of weird to tattoo so this was an important learning experience for a newbie tattoo artist.

I know there are some things you just don’t want to talk to your mom about, and I respect that. I want them to have people that they CAN talk to without judgement, though. The world is terrible and I just want my kids, their partners, and their friends to feel safe and loved.

I keep trying to remind my daughter and her partner that they are always safe in our family, and that we absolutely support them. I’ve been working to build a fiercely protective found-family for them so that they always have someone to speak to, even if they aren’t comfortable speaking with me.

It’s so surreal because as heart wrenching as it is, I somehow manage to hold it together ‘in the moment’. I am a crier, but I never let my dad see me cry over his struggles and IDK how my brain just shuts off my sadness to protect my dad.
