Kuroko-san who lost a bet and Koyuki-san who won a bet, rough draft revision 3. There's a lot that could be better but I'm putting a hard stop to making anymore changes! I'll fix other things as I notice them when doing lineart!

Looked at my work in progress today and it's not actually as bad as I felt like it was when I put it down for the day yesterday? I definitely want to change the skirt to be more propertly maid-y and add more interesting details to the chest and stomach before moving onto the lineart though.

I've probably hit the limit of my current technical skills as far making improvements to anatomy and the big details goes. I'll let it sit another night and then work on cleanup and little details. Then I still have lineart and shading and coloring to go.... Muzukashii.

While I am still firmly in the beginner-baby-mode-not-even-1000-hours-practiced camp at art, it is somewhat empowering to know that I've come far enough that I could probably make rough drafts which convey my mental vision well enough for an actually good artist to execute on.

Started reading Ichi the Witch/魔男のイチ and I love Desscaras's design and character so much. Having a tall, elegant rapier-wielding witch with beautiful tareme-style eyes rapidly and seamlessly switch between showing off why she's the strongest witch and goblin mode is so good.

I finally watched Made in Abyss (still reading through the manga too). Extremely good. The ability to seamlessly shift between cheerful slice of life moments and almost nauseating violence and despair is incredibly impressive. Also, as expected, Ozen is my favorite character.

The bunker biome is pretty scary before you get loot in MISERY but once you have a mid-tier gun and anti-radiation equipment it turns into tactical shooter where you're CQB-ing your way through rooms that just happen to be full of mythical horror creatures.

A long time ago, I quietly unfollowed and stopped supporting an artist after they made it clear that they didn't really care about their non-artist fans. Shortly afterward they posted about how they felt used and like it was a "one-night stand." Still annoys me sometimes when I see their art. 🫠

I keep studying my favorite artworks to see what shapes and lines the artist used and realizing that the amount of effort dropped off drastically outside of the focal point and I just never noticed it before. It's a really clever trick that I never noticed until I started trying to learn.
