HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 18/10/2025Been absent from here for a bit due to work and just being busy with other things, but finally going for the holiday. Hope it'll be a ton of fun! 000
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 24/09/2025Thank you once again for the kind words. It really is no time at all. 010
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 23/09/2025It's been a week since Berry's passing, and it's still hard. I miss having her on my glasses, her cuddling on my chest when I lie down for a break, and her asking for scritches at the most inopportune moments. 110
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 23/09/2025I really should watch the last few shows I want, then cancel D+. 000
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 23/09/2025Is it time for me to start shipping paracetamol, I mean, mints to the USA? 000
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 20/09/2025Faxes really should die though. I'm very thankful I don't have to deal with them ever again for local context. Think the only international dealings where I may still have to use the damn fax are with USA and Japan. 000
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 19/09/2025OMG, by beak armed do you mean half opened beak ready to bite you? That's Cassie when she doesn't want to be disturbed. 100
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 19/09/2025He's such a baby! Still a baby. :P Cassie is very specific on her cuddles, haha. 010
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 19/09/2025Oh this is lovely! I'll be in Lake District next month, hopefully it'll be just nice for autumn colours! 110
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 19/09/2025OMG Earl lets you do that? I as much touch Cassie's tail she'll be screaming at me like I'm murdering her. 210
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 19/09/2025Apologies if my next few posts are about Berry. The sudden and traumatic nature of her passing means she's still very much on my mind. Having trouble processing some of my emotions. 020
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 18/09/2025Thank you, Pixel and Pixel's mum. Pixel, you be a good birbie ok to her, ok? 110
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 18/09/2025Thank you. We did, she was such a sweet and cuddly little bird. 010
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 17/09/2025Before Berry, I didn't know such a small little bird could have so much love, to us, for us and from us. Thank you my little Berry B. I love you so much. If there is a rainbow bridge I'll see you again. 10/10 040
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 17/09/2025The vet thinks it could be due to heavy metal poisoning, since she had some puking episodes a few months before, and she was experiencing short bouts of sudden lameness in her legs. I didn't expect it'd end this way. I'm sorry I let you down, my little baby bird. 9/10 140
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 17/09/2025Ultimately though, she'd always come to us for cuddles and scritches. Sometimes she'll just cuddle next to your neck and get scritches for what seems like hours. 8/10 120
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 17/09/2025Then she'd have her fill and nap somewhere, sometimes not with us. 7/10 120
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 17/09/2025Unlike many lovebirds, Berry was never too noisy. Unless it was time to eat. Then she'd scream until she'd be brought to the kitchen for food. Here's her stealing some broccoli. 6/10 120
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 17/09/2025And some of you might have seen this already, but she also has this weird sleeping position. 5/10 130
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 17/09/2025While hanging out with us, she'd find the weirdest places to nap. Like on my hand while gaming. This is very inconvenient, little one. 4/10 130
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 17/09/2025She grew to like many of us, but her favourite perching spot was always on my glasses. 3/10 130
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 17/09/2025Berry was a rescue with another lovebird, Lemon, and didn't warm up to us initially, until Lemon, rejected by Berry numerous times, decided to escape. I still miss Lemon as well. Eventually she became trusting enough to step up on our fingers and hands. 2/10 130
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 17/09/2025My heart is broken. Yesterday morning, Berry the lovebird had a seizure and died soon after. She was much loved by us, and in turn, she loved us. She lived for two things: Food and cuddles. 1/10 #lovebird #pets #parrots #parrotsky #rainbowbridge 6130
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 15/09/2025Pro shop with large format plotters, then ship in a cardboard tube. 010
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 15/09/2025Efficacy shouldn't drop that much, I've had two-year expired desloratadine and it still worked. 010
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 13/09/2025Hahaha, you can do a -den bingo, still can't believe there are so many of them. When I meet boys of a certain age, it feels like there's a 33% chance they're a -den. xD 000
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 11/09/2025I see the -den naming trend is also present where you are! 100
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 11/09/2025Parrots are foragers, so little bits and bobs all over make for interesting things to bite and explore! Also, I haven't gotten to the part about poop yet. xD 110
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 11/09/2025While answering a question on mass shootings. Really ironic, couldn't make it up. 010
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 10/09/2025I just learnt of this. Rest in peace, you lovable fluffy cat. sisinmaru.com/2025/09/06/%...sisinmaru.comいつも応援してくださる皆さまへ。To everyone who always supports Maru.
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 10/09/2025Thanks, excited to put some film in and start shooting! 000
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 10/09/2025I've been trying Hyperion, it seems to do what I want, mostly. 010
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 10/09/2025Those pitter patters! And he really loves skateboarding. 110
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 10/09/2025Heh. New toy. Now I just want film prices to drop. #cameras #cameragear #mediumformat #120mm #6x6 #foldingcamera #superfujica6 #fujica #fujifilm #velvia #velvia100 #filmcameras #analogphotography 140
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 10/09/2025Awww, kitty! Meanwhile, I have birds, and the danger is from them deciding to have a nibble at the board or the components! Many a game has been abandoned or not started because of that. xD 120
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 10/09/2025Cheap: AliExpress; I've known Chinese manufecturers and expensive (SP and MW) keycaps and they're not that worse. Expensive: Group buys from your local/regional keyboard shops and Geekhack forum. 000
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 10/09/2025The #digicam trend is still going strong (surprising me), to the point #Canon re-released an old #IXUS/#ELPH camera. It costing more might turn off the younger crowd though. The Japanese manufacturers still need to do better to capitalise though. #cameragear www.dpreview.com/news/9212403...dpreview.comCanon updates a PowerShot with higher price and fewer featuresThe PowerShot 360 HS A is largely the same as its predecessor, but has a few cut features. 020
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 10/09/2025I'm still amazed how he's still a governer after such a failure of leadership. I've seen politicians made to resign over less. 000
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 09/09/2025It is! Until the weaker chick is pushed out to die. :( 000
HidingCat @hidingcat.bsky.social · 09/09/2025Made the mistake of ordering two sets of Indian food for takeaway. The amount of rice left on the banana leaf is what's left after the two of us took our share, and this is the rice from ONE set. There is still another equally large packet of rice in the fridge! #ded #toomuchfood #indiancuisine 020
