Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Happy to hear that! I think that's a great entry point between the older stuff (which was all recorded live into the microphone of an old boombox) and the later studio recordings. 010
Reposted by Hidden Machinehis infernal disciple @thelastdisciple.itch.io · 29/09/2026Play this game, it's highly addicting and it's chill but can also be a cheek clencher if you're trying to best some high scores. A lot of chance and dumb luck involved but also some careful placement. hat tip to @hiddenmachine.bsky.social for putting me on! store.steampowered.com/app/1946560/...store.steampowered.comsobosuba on Steamsobosuba is a merge game with ultra-squishy soft-body physics. Satisfying and relaxing -but strategy, tricks, and skill matter for chasing high scores. 122
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Jordan's journey through CONTROL Resonant picks back up at 9:15 pm EST! That's in 25 minutes! 020
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 27/09/2026I came to that one very late, only played the console port. I'll have to boot up the Flash version and try it out 110
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 27/09/2026I think it’s great. I’m biased, but the appeal for some might be that it’s their most gameplay forward title since Max Payne (imo) 010
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 27/09/2026On a long car ride earlier, thought I’d finally play Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Can’t launch the game without an Ubisoft account. That shit is so lame. Try for High on Life 2, it’s “deck verified”. 20 minutes to load shaders, runs at single digit FPS. I struck out tonight! 000
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Sometimes I’m down about the ephemeral nature of art online, all prone to being “content”, seen once and forgotten, then I see pieces like this and remember how much great art I saw once and then recycled, pieces made for newspapers or magazines. The volume is greater now, but we’ve always done this 030
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 25/09/2026An honorable mention goes to Emogame, which felt like the first real "indie" game I can remember playing, but even back then the humor felt like it was crossing a line for me and I can't really recommend it to anyone without an enormous disclaimer 000
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Seeing the #my9games thing go around, here's mine! I tried to think about games that actually impacted me in my youth or shaped my worldview or personality in some significant way, or games that expanded my idea of what a game could be. 230
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Hairspray is a classic, it gets better every time I watch it. Splendor and Rabbit were disappointing for me, both felt like they fell a bit short in different ways. Black Samson was thoroughly gritty and entertaining. The guy has a pet lion who lives in his topless bar! 030
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Local sandwich shop had the mini Marvel vs Capcom 2 out today. What a game! I remember when it came out, I thought I was pretty good at the time, I could get pretty far on one credit. In reality, I was just button mashing and the difficulty was probably set very low. 000
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Looks like you’ve got about two hours to go! 110

Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 22/09/2026i got my own ideas after CONTROL Resonant but i am dying to hear new theories after all of this stuff. so grateful to have been able to get an advance key, but not having the community weighing in is killing me! 020
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 21/09/2026super mario bros super show theme really does go hard, totally gets me ready for remarkable feats 010
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Got it! Still searching out a few documents, really enjoying the new game+ run so far 080
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 21/09/2026I'm still missing 11 from the first game. In my experience, the sequel is much more forgiving in terms of achievements, but it still makes you work for it! 010
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 21/09/2026One achievement shy of the trophy in CONTROL Resonant. The game rewards persistence. 251
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 18/09/2026My uncle works at Hellraiser and told me all of they doing the sex for real while recording that stuff 010

Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 18/09/2026My review for CONTROL Resonant is live now! I have spent over 50 hours with the game, and I have a lot to say, but I kept this one spoiler-free. I went so far as to cover up any story related text in the gameplay clips I used! 140

Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Up now on the second channel: my playthrough of the new Hellraiser Revival demo. Very brutal! I've been skeptical about this one for a while, but the demo piqued my interest. Video is age restricted; this game is not going to be streamer friendly! 120

Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 11/09/2026This current wave of AI vibe coded recompilations and translations are like the AI upscaled versions of videos that smudge all the fine details and, in many cases, become the most widely distributed version of the work online. Reminds me of what happens to many reprinted comics! 110
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 10/09/2026The answer should be hilarious Heavy Rain style failure animations 100
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 08/09/2026So hard to say with certainty, they have been making music for around 35 years now and have gone through many different phases in terms of their overall sound. I'd suggest trying The Sunset Tree, Tallahassee, The Coroner's Gambit, or Protein Source of the Future...Now! to get a feel 110
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Okay, I see that part of this is some collection that I downloaded and they included the first few early cassettes in full here, but there are still well over 300 songs left to sort out 100
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 08/09/2026organizing some mp3s how does my "unreleased/rare" mountain goats folder have 415 songs in it 120
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 07/09/2026They did not, I think Breakin’ Up was the only one they played from that album 110
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 07/09/2026The interaction with the audience was pretty minimal, they really just focused on playing songs, but the audience seemed to love every single one of them 040
Hidden Machine @hiddenmachine.bsky.social · 07/09/2026I saw Violent Femmes last night. Very inspiring! 45 years as a band. Wild! Very little banter, mostly just rocking out, being in the moment with one another, freely swapping instruments. One of my favorite bands since high school, and one of the few that still hold up today. 2541816
