TBV is a fair starting point for a capital intensive business. How much has been invested to generate earnings. How much can the business be recreated for (hypothetically)? Re JPM: if you buy at 2.5x TBV and ROE is 15%, you’re underwriting a ~6% return. HRB (negative TBV) needs/uses no capital
