Thanks for the share! Organic forms, shifting memories I explore fluidity, connection, and the spaces between. A blend of watercolor, ink, and abstraction, it invites interpretation and movement. #AbstractArt #InteriorDesign
A fluid, organic composition of intertwining botanical and abstract forms in shades of green, blue, and soft earth tones. Delicate ink lines weave through layered watercolor washes, creating movement and depth. The piece evokes nature, memory, and interconnectedness, making it a striking focal point for luxury interiors, boutique hotels, or curated residential spaces. Its intricate details lend themselves to textile design, wallpaper, or large-format prints, perfect for fabric artists and high-end decor. Collectors seeking evocative, abstract work will appreciate the balance of structure and spontaneity, ideal for modern and transitional spaces.

Pairs exist everywhere-two hands reaching, two memories entwining, two places held in the same breath. This piece explores the duality of past and present, of what we remember and what we forget. An echo mirroring the way memories shift yet remain tethered. What pairs do you see? #pairs #Februarty
An abstract painting featuring fluid ink lines and layered watercolor washes in shades of red, purple, beige, and brown. Organic, intertwined forms suggest figures, landscapes, or shifting memories, with repeating shapes that create a sense of pairing and duality. A soft purple bloom extends from a delicate line, contrasting with sharp red botanical elements on the other side. The flowing composition evokes movement, as if recalling a distant place or a fleeting emotion. The artwork explores the interplay of memory, transformation, and connection, inviting the viewer to find their own meanings within the shapes. /endalt

Orange is the color of warmth, transformation, and fleeting memory—like sunlight shifting through leaves or a familiar place seen in a dream. This piece explores how recollection reshapes reality, with fluid lines and layered hues reflecting the ever-changing nature of our past. #februarty #orange
An abstract painting featuring intricate black ink lines that twist and flow through layered washes of orange, red, and yellow watercolor. The composition is organic and fluid, resembling a delicate interplay of memory and place. The warm hues evoke autumn leaves, glowing embers, and sunlit terrain, while the expressive, gestural lines suggest movement—like recollections shifting and reshaping over time. The contrast between the structured ink marks and the soft, blended watercolor mirrors the tension between control and fluidity, order and chaos. This piece invites personal interpretation, offering glimpses of landscapes, figures, or emotions hidden within its intricate forms. A meditation on transformation, nostalgia, and the way we carry places within us long after we’ve left them behind. /end alt text

It works well! I ask because I didn’t ever think to dip a glass in the paint and use it to make circles, I saw a YouTuber do it and was like OMG. So much easier if it works in your process. Such a simple technique but it never occurred to me.

Heather F Larson @hfl-art.bsky.social · 29/01/2025
I just read through your process for this, it’s really cool. You could add gelli plates to this process, they transfer paints and you could get a wide variety of textures from them.

The mosaic texture is an interesting interpretation of water. I’d argue it can flatten the perspective so you’ve got more than one type of flat happening.

Really cool, I love seeing maps used in artwork intentionally. I’ve used them in mine it’s a special interest of mine, although currently I’m working with line and watercolor. I think I like the mix of rigidity and organic, alongside all of the concepts we associate with them.
