BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 23/09/2026So many politicians in Canada so loudly opposed to what the US is doing and boycotting and pledging cutting ties.....and yet continuing to use X 🤷♂️ 0100
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 04/09/2026There is irony here...on one hand, it shows how much people love old growth, but on the other a remnant patch is what people flock to. 020
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 01/09/2026We'd all make this face if you repatriate the sunken McBarge. 020
Reposted by BB👻 Dead Chachra 💀 @debcha.bsky.social · 23/08/2026This explainer out of Australia is genuinely useful background and analysis of what happened with the Canada-US trade deal last night. Note that it is extremely and delightfully sweary. Also there’s an appended glossary of Australian slang. ifloz.substack.com/p/king-carne...ifloz.substack.comKING CARNEY ACTIVATES KONG MODE WITH ZERO FUCKSCarney Reads the Clock Like a Pro Wrestler 992005769
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 17/08/2026Zoning is just one of many tools to implement policy. Its done after policy, governance, and legislation is clear, and forest and related lands policies in BC are anything but clear. Maybe gov't plans to address the policy issues, but having zoning be the lead is problematic. 000
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 08/08/2026Also of interest, in 2003 the province launched the Filmon Commission on the devestating season where in 2003 266,000 ha burned when the 10 year average was 25,000 ha. Now 266,000 would seem like a normal or low year. 121
Reposted by BBMike Flannigan @mikeflannigan.bsky.social · 08/08/2026corrected post This is our climate change reality. BC is at the sharp end of the climate change spear in terms of fire in Canada. Graph below shows annual area burned in BC 1950-2026. Top 6 years have been since 2017 and BC has experienced more area burned during 2017-2026(red) than 1950-2016(green) 25342
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 16/07/2026OMG this is bang on and I can hear in my head the fabulous Eric Peterson in that episode! 010

BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 03/06/2026Also him just last week: “You’ve got folks who are doing everything they can to get the Canadian public to rally against America,” he said in an interview with Radio-Canada that aired this week. “It just, that doesn’t make any sense.” 100
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 25/05/2026This will be a not-to-miss exhibit. Has a schedule been developed yet? 130
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 30/04/2026I bet this will be good! Not just for understanding the craziness that happened historically but also the impacts we still live with today. 010
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 27/04/2026Need a list...it'll be a long list...of every quote he has said or any of his appointees have said, that can be rolled out like a carpet or hung from a building anytime anyone on the right says "need to tone down the rhetoric" 020
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 22/04/2026Haha…absolute zero sympathy! But hope to see the results of all that editing soon - your images are always incredible! 010
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 17/04/2026Great - both part 1 and 2. So easy for history to be “re-written” to suit whoever wants it changed, but historians need to be good detectives to properly investigate and correct. 110
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 30/03/2026The debate on “what counts” goes back 15 or so years, since the 17% targets from the IUCN. All because there is no transparent policies or public process to show how decisions on what designations count. 000
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 15/02/2026Brilliant show! Not many series where every person cast was absolutely perfect for their role. 060
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 04/02/2026It would be a much better governance model but also must follow an ecosystem based approach to setting AAC levels that nets out areas with important ecological and cultural values to protect. 010
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 18/01/2026So painful to watch. At least we have the draft to look forward to. 001
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 30/12/2025I did this with measles too...like, just this morning. I was getting measles, but I overwhelmed it, like...just before I drove into town. Ya, just overwhelm it, measles, flu, anything really. Then go for a nice coffee. That's whatcha do alright. 000
BB @heyjoe65.bsky.social · 26/11/2025Lazy-ass on her part. Pick a right wing nutball with a history of saying Canada should join US, then load up a "should we" question and record the rhetoric dribble he serves up. Absolutely lazy and completely low-effort. 181
