XIII-2 is now in the books. I think I might be in the minority with this one, but it was ffffffffine. Mechanically interesting, with a story that only begins to hit near the end of the game. That being said - all timer ending. IYKYK At this rate, I’m going to be a Lightning Returns defender.

I didn’t expect FFVII:Rebirth to be a vibes game. For as much as it says in the meta narrative sense in the main plot beats - the rest of the time it’s just you going on goofy adventures with your gang….and that’s sort of perfect?? I mean, I love a good beach episode.

Been playing through FFVII Remake again in preparation for Rebirth and I am still in awe of how much it sticks the landing. It’s a game in conversation with its fandom, and you see how its creators are trying to say something new with it. An all timer.
