When art imitates life. @uooart’s A Short Trip To The Grocery Store. It’s a risograph print made for our dogs. Bonnie did this while I was answering emails. She has no regrets. 🐶☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️ #thattoydidntstandachance

Are you checking out all your favorite taverns and pubs this St. Patrick’s Day weekend? @matchboxcityprints has this super cool collection of Chicago bar mementos to help you remember the weekend by! These posters are so fun. Bonnie’s personal favorite is PB&J bc of the tiny pb sandwiches for dogs.

What a phenomenal time painting Roxy the Sloth with the @flyingfox_conservation_fund! Everyone got to paint this charming and sleepy model, and the folks from Flying Fox told us so many sloth facts! Her favorite foods are sweet potatoes. Flying Fox was super nice, and the BIGGEST thanks to them! 🦥🦥

Hey, artists, in case you were wondering if your work matters: I'm a scientist working on climate change and biodiversity, and I would not be who I am today without The Lorax, The Secret of NIMH, Watership Down, The Last Unicorn, and The X-Files. I know I'm not alone. Thank you for all you do.

Wow, we had a FANTASTIC Galentine/Valentine’s Folkmade Cookie class! Ashley showed everyone how to make fruit and hearts, and a few people added flourishes to their box-of-chocolate-cookies! We absolutely love her classes, and we’re betting those cookies are eaten the moment they get home. 🍦💝🍫🍓

We had a free papercutters meetup this weekend! Collage, printmaking, alebrije, lasercut pieces, and hand-cut artwork. It was very fun to see what tools people like to use, what they’re working on, and their new projects for the year. We’ll definitely have another meetup like this in the future. ✂️✂️✂️

One of my favorite things to do is send out the artist payments at the beginning of the month. Shopping small literally supports so many Chicago artists and makers. Thank you so much to everyone who keeps our little corner of the art world steadily moving upward. Here’s to an excellent 2025. 🎨🥂
