Don't sleep on the new Switch/Switch 2 port of Maestro. Graduating from the school of Samba de Amigo/Beat Saber, it does a fabulous job at inciting tomfoolery in play and conjures more than a bit of Wii heritage with its controls. Some obvious remnants of its VR origins, but otherwise very slick.

Caught up with DISCLOSURE DAY last night. Cynicism be damned, that is one belter of a picture. Spielberg channelling 90s Shyamalan in an anachronistic, wildly optimistic statement on empathy and faith in a misguided world. Train sequence is utterly electric. I love a sincere blockbuster.

I'm not really filled with confidence that you can meaningfully improve on either the source material or animated adaptation. But, if you've really gotta do it live-action...you'd be hard pressed to find a better director fit than Kore-eda.

Curation hot (?) take: it's more effective to be presented with three impactful choices personal to a niche than thirty (even if all thirty are fantastic in their own right). A difficult idea to reconcile with amidst saturation. But more is not always the solution; even when more is being created.
