hiya!! i made a post on YouTube about my upcoming video schedule. tl;dr: no more weekly uploads, i want bigger videos with even more work put into them. and doing all these smaller videos makes it hard to work on the BIG things. thanks for watching the past 5 weeks!

hey! i uploaded a video every week for 5 weeks so far. i had a video planned for week #6 (today) but an audio mistake means i think it's better off being shelved. but hey, 5 weeks ain't so bad, right..?

my schedule going forward will likely *not* be 1 video every week. i think, even in a perfect world where making videos is my full-time job, it *still* would be too much. the reason is because i want to make BIG videos... really GOOD videos... videos more in the style of last week's "fighting Sans on a Wii Balance Board" idea (go watch it if you haven't seen it!)

if i want to be able to make big videos, i need more time to make them. and if i'm spending all my time making smaller videos (that i'm still happy with) then i simply wouldn't have the time to work on the big things. and i want to work on the big things!

...i also want to continue working on my websites more...

so, i hope you understand, the weekly uploads are not going to continue. but you shouldn't get a year-long hiatus from me anymore, either! more consistent, just not "1 a week". i hope you look forward to my next big video!

i'd like to again thank Kestron for this update! you can now generate Nintendo Switch 2 Mii QR codes in your web browser using this extension, which is SUPER exciting! and they still scan on Wii U and 3DS just fine, too! naturally, this also goes for importing Nintendo Switch 2 QR codes as well!

the Mii Studio Mii Loader browser extension has been updated! exporting your Mii to a QR code now uses the Nintendo Switch 2 QR format, allowing full support without losing out on Wii U/3DS functionality! this QR code is a discolored Alice on Mii Studio/Switch 2! mii.tools/studioloader

the downside is, i really like how the Mii Library's QR codes are just the exact output from the 3DS QR codes. it drives the feeling it is more "official", i feel the upside would be Switch Mii support, and i'd probably be able to customize the QR codes to have their own Mii Library "look" to them

when the new Mii Library rewrite goes up (yes i swear i'm still working on it!!! i have more time for it atm) i am thinking of using the QR code format the Nintendo Switch 2 introduced. it allows all the Switch-exclusive Mii options, but still supports Wii U/3DS scanning. thoughts?

i understand the comparisons, like DS/3DS to the Game & Watch, but both examples you gave are absolutely not "refinements". the DSi is a refinement of the DS. the Game Boy Color is a refinement of the Game Boy. but you can't say the Switch is a refinement of the Wii U just because of the GamePad

that's fine if that's what you want from games. it's not what i want. i don't want a nintendo unwilling to make unnecessary risks; in my mind, those unnecessary risks DEFINE nintendo and what a nintendo game means to me. there will always be good games for me to play. there's only so many e-Readers

that is a minor concern for me too especially given the game definitely "felt" more like a Layton game so maybe they're also in charge of the porting process, but if Capcom is the one in charge (which i would imagine they're the entire reason it's getting ported, given their previous AA efforts).. 🤷

because both Ace Attorney and Professor Layton games are KNOWN for having incredible endings. they almost RELY on them, they'd both be good enough franchises without them but WITH their incredible endings they leave an impact. for a crossover to then just... not have a good ending is... really weird
