Western casual/lower level comp players: Complaining is hurting our scene! Pro JP player that just won the monthly challenge with triple 52 gal:

From a balance perspective Splatoon hasn't been this bad in years. The devs actually messed up big this time. If you want advice on how to play this meta, you either become a part of the problem or log off until the next patch

Area Cup’s video is finally out! I did my best to highlight most of our tournament run and make it enjoyable to watch. I hope you'll enjoy it! Thank you @penguitt.bsky.social for the thumbnail :) youtu.be/OvTnCNtclOI youtu.be/OvTnCNtclOI youtu.be/OvTnCNtclOI

I told Grey a Western player would eventually be able to win an Area Cup and he said it would never happen lmfao... fast forward a few months and he did it himself. This is the #1 most insane individual achievement for the west ever btw

paint spam, blaster, gals, vac, bubble, splash wall. happy to let everyone know the game would be busted 2 months ahead of time

Recycled brella is super underrated rn

It really feels like the western splatoon community as a whole is so degenerate rn. I could speak on this for ages but it feels like everything is so bad except for the competitive aspect

TOs are DQing us out of NAL when we were 3rd seed yet they made 0 attempt to dm me and xenith was typing in the helpdesk chat for 20 mins before the tourny started? This is legit shameless

GG was a really cool event and western teams did very well which was nice to see. I do have to say from a player/viewer perspective there is no reason to have such a long wait time between sets and games. There were plenty of times where none of the teams were playing. Casts should take a backseat

More Splatoon thumbnails I've been working on. Been really digging this art direction lately, so seeing the feedback has been nice 💙🐧 #splatoon #splatoon3 #compsplatoon #design

The more I play/watch the game the more sure I am that the game is completelyyyyy out of balance right now. The game has had worst states but it seems some things are a bit broken and others are left in the dust. It wouldn’t really surprise me if the meta revolves around something that is sorta 1/?

Yeah legit every weapon I play got nerfed when 0 of them are top tier GGs go next (Splatoon 4)

So let me get this straight. The league format is the exact same as last time despite all the complaints? Aren't there people from the community in on this? Genuinely don't understand how they can't reduce the time investment

Decided to reopen my metafy with 1 on 1 sessions and full team VOD reviews. My sessions are mainly targeted towards the Midlevel area and I will not be looking at any X Rank VOD's etc as it just isn't for me I feel 🙏 #compsplatoon metafy.gg/@isjared

Can we not have sendouq end early. Nobody really pings for scrims and we just lose a way to play the game. Maybe a preseason or something to help with seeding ranks

As a former Heavy Splatling player, this update is so insanely liberating on that weapon. It kills AND paints again finally after several years. I'm definitely interested in at least trying it in comp again

hexenhxn.bsky.social @hexenhxn.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

Splat dualies are pretty weak in the current meta. It gets out painted by all of the comparable shooter types (splash, forge, mini) and also can’t run them down because they’re all strong shooters and have burst bomb to throw at you on top of that. Also forget about running at sblast/pen etc. patch🙏

hexenhxn.bsky.social @hexenhxn.bsky.social · 05/01/2026

The game is genuinely out of balance rn 50% of the playerbase is on blasters and chargers. We need a patch so desperately
