I finally fixed the rendering of the effect text in the move detail pages. All this time I'd just forgotten to parse the Markdown ☠️

A screenshot of the move detail page for "Heat Crash". The effect text is just a bunch of text with various symbols inside the text representing a Markdown table. It's very hard to read.

A screenshot of the move detail page for "Heat Crash". The effect text now properly renders and the table is actually rendering as a proper table in HTML now.

I'd completely forgotten to put the new version of Theriodex with the evolution tree online. It's still not great but at least the info is there now. Still need to work on the design some tho.

I also have some long exposures of friends being very irresponsible with fire :alice_laugh: They're all hand held so kinda terrible but still looks cool.

I was absolutely obsessed with night-time and long-exposure photographs when I got my first DSLR. I just found these again and I actually really like them still. I should make some like this again.

A photograph of a highway at night. It is a long-exposure photograph meaning that you can see a bunch of lights all in a line rather than individual cars or anything like that. You mostly see the red taillights here.

Another hotograph of a highway at night. It is a long-exposure photograph meaning that you can see a bunch of lights all in a line rather than individual cars or anything like that. This one mostly shows the headlights on the left (white) with a few red taillights in the background.

I did a bunch more optimisations and stuff as well! I think the biggest factor was adding another worker and using a multi-worker Puma setup. But the new DB indices and a few other smaller things (such as some PRAGMAs I set) also helped!

I've been doing some tests with to compare theriodex.

A spreadsheet table comparing website performance metrics (page load time, size, and requests) for various Pokémon / Pokédex sites with and without EasyList adblock to compare to my own Pokédex, Theriodex.

Using an adblocker dramatically improves speed and reduces page weight and loading times on all major sites: Bulbapedia, Serebii and PokémonDB.
