Washington’s long-running political satire troupe, Hexagon, is back for its 70th year with a new original show, Lollapalooza, opening April 17 at the Atlas Performing Arts Center. Former board chair Doug Brown and assistant choreographer Carol Newell described the production as a labor of love featuring all-new songs, skits, and lyrics, while continuing Hexagon’s tradition of poking fun at everyone in politics, regardless of party. Hexagon presents Lollapalosers!, an original satirical musical revue celebrating the losers who make America great. Come prepared to sing and/or dance; Bring sheet music to sing 16-32 bars; a pianist will be provided. We will select music for the dance audition. We especially welcome those who can impersonate their favorite national loser. Finally, please plan to arrive 20 minutes early for your chosen time slot and plan to remain for about 50 minutes.
