LOL. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I despise this trilogy. I get that they’re well made and have a ton of fans, but MY GOD are they not for me

It’s not THAT bad. Feel like it’s about the 50% mark when the systems fully open up, and 75% is when the world opens up. But yeah, XIII-2 is where the real shit is at. I just suddenly realized I never actually finished XIII

I decided to fire up FFXIII a few nights ago. I will forever die on the hill that the Paradigm system is the best combat FF has had #blutoid

At the time I didn't know the adaptive difficulty was a thing, so when I was actually trying, the game was easy as hell

Same urge that led to me dying approximately 500 times the first time I played RE4 because I was worried I'd miss a cool death animation

Oh hell yeah, I didn't realize Valor Mortis was on Game Pass! That's perfect. I've been intrigued, but I didn't really like the Ghostrunner games. Mostly because I sucked at them, so it was a me problem. Games themselves seemed really well made #blutoid

That's a wrap on Other Worlds than These! I absolutely loved it. Beautiful ending for Jack Sawyer's story, and it was great to visit Mid-World (most likely) one last time. #blutoid

Man, had me thinking I had a three day weekend I didn't know about! Columbus Day is one of those that only banks and schools actually care about. And banks just because the Fed's closed.

I will say, you can't tell with those two. They purposefully would sometimes imitate the other's writing style to throw people off even more. Talisman is basically Stand By Me meets Lord of the Rings, and Black House is "what if Albert Fish was magic"

Talisman and Black House! It's the ones he co-wrote with Peter Straub. If you haven't, you're in for a treat, especially with Talisman!

Just make sure you’ve read the previous Sawyer books and Dark Tower! Really feels like he’s starting to accept his age and wrap things up. First this, now a final Holly novel (meh, fine) next year. Doubt he’ll ever retire, just seems like he’s making sure he doesn’t leave loose ends

It could take a turn in the back half, but 45% in, Stephen King’s Other Worlds Than These is SO. GOOD. It’s a straight up Dark Tower book. Highly recommend it, just make sure you’ve read Dark Tower, Talisman, and Black House #blutoid

That's awesome! My wife's been having a string of surgeries this year to treat an inflammatory condition, and between procedures her surgeon got her on a GLP for off label use (it seems to help a lot!). I've been mirroring what she eats, and it's wild how quickly you can adjust to a new diet

Although I am aware that advertising COD for it kinda goes against that purpose, but hey, might as well market to the folks who'll spring for it for personal use too

Aren't these primarily meant as workstations? "Cheap" isn't really what they'd be going for. Also probably not primarily intended for consumer use.

Galactic Racer may be the first game in a long time where I skip all the cutscenes. Not that they’re bad, they seem fine. Just…not why I’m playing the game #blutoid

Also, I’m 100% picturing Timothy Olyphant as Jack in this one. Previously played in my head by young Skylar Gisondo in Talisman and Kit Harrington in Black House

I’m at 20% already! Fun time so far, classic King slow start, but I’m perfectly fine with that. The “take your time and get to know the characters before terrible things happen to them” approach is why he’s hands down my favorite writer

Probably different case, or it was said that way at some point between arrest and trial. This shit happens way too often. Combine dumb kids and gunowners with no gun safety training. I grew up around them, have a couple of my own, but the shit I've seen others do is terrifying

He didn't fire through his door. He was standing outside and fired 10 shots into his backyard, caught on doorbell cam. Plenty of prior precedent for a conviction there. The whole kicking a door thing is stupid, but in this case, everyone was stupid.

Squeezed in one quick race on Galactic Racer this morning. Yeah, this is gonna consume a LOT of my time. It's exactly what it looks like, Star Wars Burnout. The roguelike structure is also SUPER interesting (obviously haven't had time to touch that yet) #blutoid

I just missed being the right age for the initial release. I would have been 15, so ain't no way I was touching anything close to Disney at that age (I was all about the Smackdown games then). By the time I tried it in my late 20's, I realized the time had passed

Haha, Uncharted trained me to just ignore that. The first of the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy was pretty bad too. “Oh my god, I killed a man.” 30 seconds later, “headshot bitch!”

One of my biggest movie regrets is that I only heard of Barbarian after it was a home release. Honestly I wasn't a HUGE fan of that one (7/10, but also told me to keep an eye out for Cregger), but I bet the theater experience would have been WILD for that one

So I know LB's the furthest thing from punk rock, but if someone were to ever make a punk-rock themed Jesus movie, I'd be so in. That's really how a LOT of the NT reads

By which I mean, while I've loved everything he's done, the way he elicits a reaction makes watching with a crowd really elevate the movie. Weapons, in theater, I would have given it 4.5/5. On my at home rewatch, take off half a star. Not a knock, he has a very 90's style gift

This one shocked me. I expected it to be good. I didn't expect it to be my favorite movie so far this year. Not the "best" film (Odyssey), but hands down the most fun I had watching one. I'll be interested to see how I feel watching at home. Cregger is great at "great in theater" flicks

Goddammit, I forgot to circle back and go deeper into the Wo Long alpha. Oh well, from the little I played, it’s got the juice. It’ll do the trick to fill the gap until the last Nioh 3 DLC comes out, marking the release of the REAL Nioh 3 #blutoid

LOL, as much as I’ve spouted about hating Oppenheimer (I KNOW it’s not a “bad” movie, I just personally get bored to tears every time I try watching it), you have my permission to trash DS2

I kinda miss the days when devs were making a ton of Resident Evil clones. I’ve found that “whoa, that’s a scary monster, I’MMA FUCK IT UP” is my ideal approach to horror games. Case in point: Dead Space 2 is EASILY in my top 10 all timers #blutoid

LOL, that's basically every game longer than 15 hours for me. Not a problem by any means, long ones are just one and done's for pure necessity for me. With some exceptions, of course (Nioh 2, Witcher 3, BG3, basically all-time greats)

I also saw he drew inspiration from 1917, and that's clear as day! I really wasn't expecting to walk out thinking that's the funniest movie I've seen this year. At this point, I'll go see anything Cregger does.
