So to all my friends here and on discord, I want to say sorry. I haven't been active in any of my group chats and I have failed to show up as a friend. Being transparent, my mental state is shot and my marriage is on the rocks and im not even sure I want to be married anymore 1/2

Im not active here at all and how much id love to say I'll try more, I know I won't. Social media is exhausting and isn't healthy for my headspace. If you want to stay in touch, DM me and I'll get you my discord or other socials. I'll pop up here and there but no promises. Love you guys, Hero

So hyped this came in. Not super happy with the pricing for this and the toho braves one but it's what I get for living where we don't get cool shit 😭

It's so pretty and scratches that fantasy itch I love. Fuuuuuuuuuuuck I think I'm hooked 😅😅

Wizard lady is coming along nicely I've also been trying to keep the art page more sfw focused for those who would like to follow it. It's a step by step process and there are slight slip ups but it's an attempt

I aced my math placement assessment! I hate math the fear of it was what was preventing me from finishing my degree. But today, I did it!! now to take the class with confidence. also managed to put a skin on the first time without wanting to frisbee it out the nearest window. Cue victory fanfare

Continuing to work on the wizard lady! Going to try color once more since I try to avoid it so much

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 15/02/2026

This. You don't have to watch your friends stream or videos if you aren't able to. You might not be able to commission your friends art work but ya know at helps? Sharing their work for others to see. Liking their work or following their accounts to help the number side of things

Going over the line work since it looks rough after adding color. I've wanted to do more fantasy stuff so here's a wizard lady

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 10/02/2026

Ya know, I've genuinely thought about going back to streaming. It was fun and a nice way to just kick back. Maybe I won't do it as frequently, just a Friday night kinda deal. Who knows tho 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

A Nintendo direct AND Zelda funk all in the same day???? Now this is the type of stuff I live for.

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 04/02/2026

I'll be working during this time but I'm gonna watch it during my lunch. Best believe I'm keeping my phone off until then lol

I just realized... I'm 4 classes away from finishing my degree and the next step is to shoot for my masters in literature while I get my TEFL certification. I'm a few steps closer on my path to teach English in Japan. If you would have told me this years ago, I would have laughed and said not me.

Just saw the stuff about the catfishing and tbh, it’s wild. If i had the time to run 4 different accounts and catfish people, I would probably spend it doing more productive things and making real friends. Wild behavior.

This is difficult news to share: 4 well knowm people in our community that some of us consider close friends - aren't real. Sadly, I was recently made aware of a catfishing operation involving these 4 accounts. I'm sharing this publicly due to the number of people affected.

Fun fact, my first experience with Turok was on the GBA and this right here was my favorite part of the whole game. Used to look up level cheats just so I could hear the music 😅 youtu.be/CyMHVmfv55I?...

Made a little notebook! It was pretty cool making my own little notepad since I usually carry one with me everywhere. It's easier for me to just jot something down or do a quick sketch as opposed to using my phone. Plus I got to do my own colors and draw on the cover!

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 30/01/2026

As apart of simplifying my life, I've switched over to a simpler watch. No updates, no notifications, no needing to remember to charge it. Just the basic necessities

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 30/01/2026

Trying to minimize the amount of stuff I carry everyday so I'm currently swapping between two different bags. One fits my iPad, which I use all the time at work for something and drawing while the other fits stuff id actually carry to work and out and about. Really trying to minimize my clutter 😅

This is a rough outline and , with help from my wife, Ive got an idea on how to fix it. Unfortunately today started off rocky with a dead car battery and ended with me taking it out to charge it in the cold so I'm probably gonna save fixing this for tomorrow lol

011

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

Well got my battery pulled out of my car and charged. Good news is, she turns on and runs!!! Bad news is I had to do that shit in the cold. Weather says it feels like -4 out but my fingers say it feels like -fuck that.

This was a pain in the ass to try out but I tried and that’s all that matters.

WELP I GOT IT SET UP ON MY ACTUAL MONITOR. Tbh, this is so cool and I'll probably only use it to replay games I've already beat but still. It was more about tinkering around with it than anything else

020

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 25/01/2026

OH LETS GO. THIS ISNT THE PERMEANT SET UP CAUSE I JUST WANTED TO SEE HOW IT WORKS BUT THIS IS A GAME CHANGER

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 25/01/2026

So I had a genius idea last night but it was also 1am and I was exhausted. So once I get back from the store, imma see how it plays out and I'll post it. I'm just happy to be outside of my house now 🤣🤣🤣

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 24/01/2026

going to try out @operagx.gg to see if I like it more than chrome. It is pretty neat but my biggest gripe is that it dosent have an account feature on my phone. Here's to hoping its as easy as chrome is. I hate having to remember passwords and shit😅

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 23/01/2026

In an attempt to lessen distraction, I loaded my mp3 player with music I love. My iPad doesn't have my socials on it since it's just for art so I've been able to pick music without any distractions. I want to spend more of my time offline and enjoying things on my own, not being told what to enjoy.

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 22/01/2026

One of the kids brought a little emulator device like the anbernic and I love it lol. He was playing Pokemon and some other stuff. It's a snow day and he got caught up on all his work so I was like just act right and he can play quietly during lunch and indoor recess

020

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 22/01/2026

Out of all days to not have a snow day, of course the FF7 REMAKE DROP ON THE SWITCH IS THE ONE DAY I GOTTA WORK. I just wanna run around midgar again 😭😭

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 21/01/2026

Had to brave the weather and head out to get groceries. Roads are aaaaasssss and we almost got stuck. Now here I am in Walmart and it's empty... Where'd everyone go? Bingo?

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 21/01/2026

Another snow day tomorrow so another night of gaming. Let's gooooo

010

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 20/01/2026

I wanted to limit myself to about 30-40 mins to just sketch something on paper. I love using my iPad but sometimes, it’s nice to go back to the basics with no extra tools or the ability to completely undo my mistakes.

Fun fact, I love the idea of being into anime but I cannot focus on it. I don't watch anime much or shows at all cause I have to multitask or else I feel like I wasted my day. But manga? I looooove reading and can do it all day. Plus it's been helpful for finding inspiration.

Wife saw me struggling with finding motivation for my island and decided to stop in and drop off some gifts lmao. It's her favorite game and she's put hours into it

010

Hero 🎮 @herowastooshort.bsky.social · 17/01/2026

So during the transition from my switch to the OLED awhile back, I lost all my data cause I messed up the island transfer. I had it since the beginning of COVID and had hours poured into it so I dropped it after that. Now the new update is out and Im willing to give it another shot. So here's Rose!

My wife remembered that animal crossing had an update and she's off today. So when I stepped out into the living room to get ready for work, what do I see? She's got her little area set up with her coffee and breakfast while she's digging into the new stuff. Love that for her lol
