Getting ready for a dry summer. Thick mulch over cardboard, there will be a sheepmanure section in the middle with pumpkins etc, watered with an ingenious set up to direct veg washing and coffeepot rinsing etc water straight from the deck down the hill. That's still in the planning stage 😂

I'm worried about the bird flu, too. We've had the first few cases detected in Tasmania. I'll be scrubbing the bird water dishes every day. Have decided to have more smaller ones so they're not crowded. I don't know what else I can do.

I taught myself weaving on a second hand loom off marketplace and I'm now on my fifth project turning a huge inherited stash of wool into useful things like shawls, sofa rugs and scarves. Nearly finished scarf in photo.

Getting stuck into the veg cage for spring. Mulching the paths with cardboard and woodchips, relocating a couple of things to free sunny spots for tomatoes and making self watering pots and containers. Let's see how we go!
