It must have been great for someone who'd read Salem's Lot to meet him again in Wolves of the Calla, and to see him eventually find his redemption. A little sad that I didn't get to experience it that way, but ultimately it didn't lessen my appreciation for either.

The Dark Tower was my introduction to King, and I was somewhat confused when Callaghan shows up and drops his backstory on the ka-tet. You'd think it would take some of the wind out of Salem's Lot, knowing his fate, but I still get chills every time he faces down Barlow in the Glick's kitchen.
