HereBeDragons @heredragons.be · 16hThey're both tough, in very different ways. Microdeal's Space Shuttle is primitive, basic and unforgiving. Microsoft's Space Simulator is quite cool, a bit clunky and really complicated! 100

HereBeDragons @heredragons.be · 26/09/2026I think the TRS-80 version of Zaxxon is a probably my all time favourite! Who needs colour? Sound? Hi-res pixels? 6426

HereBeDragons @heredragons.be · 13/08/2026So you can add floppy disks, of course! Turning your Sord M5 into a 'serious' computer you can now use for, err, stuff! 090

HereBeDragons @heredragons.be · 28/07/2026If you're thinking this doesn't look like your typical Dragon (the green! it burns!), it's because this machine has a DragonPlus, a period modification that gives it 80 columns and 128K memory. It's seen here running OS9 and Dynacalc off a CocoSDC floppy emulator. 290
HereBeDragons @heredragons.be · 17/07/2026I guess one question is this - you're writing software for a retro system, so do you want to stay true to the retro process used to generate that code? If you used DOS back in the day, should you remain true to that? Or is it time to move on? 110
HereBeDragons @heredragons.be · 16/07/2026And £25 is a typical cost for an application that might lead to a 4/5 figure hiring fee. The LLM read a whole bunch of articles on average CPAs in recruitment without applying context or even realising it should check what A stood for. This is why we don't use Gemini. </rant> 121
HereBeDragons @heredragons.be · 16/07/2026In Adwords, the A in CPA stands for 'action'. In our case, the action is a click on a leadgen form. 65p is a fair price for a lead in our business. But the problem is our business is on the fringes of recruitment, and in recruitment, the 'A' in CPA also stands for 'application' ... 111
HereBeDragons @heredragons.be · 16/07/2026<rant> Google would so love to let Gemini run my 6 figure Adwords account, so for a laugh I asked it what it would do. The reply was superficially convincing. It would like me to raise my target CPA from £0.65 to £25. Woah, NO. That would spend my entire budget in a matter of minutes. So I dug ... 111
