Gladly... will be back in June. :)

And so happy they didn't show their Wiener Schnitzel. I can't imagine it being anything other than a culinary crime scene.

Hoo-wee! As a German that has been living in Vienna for 22 years this... at best has an generally somewhat Austrian themed veneer. Königsberger Klopse? In Vienna? 😆 Great dish but it's from eastern Prussia. Probably explained by the half Polish heritage of the husband, still anything but Austrian.

Also... pretty sure the self proclaimed 'alpha males' are deathly afraid of even the idea of a powerful woman. They want a sandwich and something pretty that doesn't talk back to show off and confirm their status. Not someone who challenges them intellectually or otherwise.

It's not even just 'X'. Steam discussion boards for supposedly 'woke' games (roll a die if it actually/maybe is ;)), YT comments, they've infested every nook and cranny like the malignant growth they are. What do they all have in common - piss poor self moderation tools. This is where BS stands out.

...influence over us. Not that globalism isn't great, but only when all involved play nice. Well... it was only a question of time before it all goes to shit, we had it too comfortable for too long. And don't get me started on non-American Trump stans, they're even more fucked in the head. 🤐

herbstwerk @herbstwerk.bsky.social · 18/04/2025

Let's just say it's not any better for the rest of the world when engaging on some platforms. They swing their dicks around, believe Trump is king of the world now and everyone has to bow before their American exceptionalism, and claim to have won their culture war. We'd be laughing if it had no...

Using my vacation somewhat usefully and started reorganizing and cataloging my books today, taking a break - phone vibrates, it's the Folio Society newsletter. Perfect timing. Use of Weapons on May 6th... now I can leave some space. 😘 Can't wait to have the whole Culture series... when? 2032? 🙄

Switching back and forth between Blue Prince and Talos Principal Reawakened is maybe not the best idea. Movement is alone is kinda jarring. Slow and deliberate or might as well be red-shifted. 🥴 But they are both so good. Also Lost Records Tape 2 should be dropping soon-ish(?)… this month is great.

Escape room idea. One door, combination lock, a reel-to-reel - tape with the combination on it not yet loaded. Watch their little heads explode.

Yeah, probably the way to go. But from what I've read the negatives are very dense and kinda a pain in the ass to scan. One day... maybe. :)

While I'll be buying two games puzzle-ish tomorrow, I hope you don't take offense when I install the other, not remastered, one first. ;)

Taking the yearly inventory - no wonder I can't fit any more beer in my fridge. And yes, I know that Kodacolor-X is basically unusable unless I shell out for C22 dev. But I got it with the 50 year old Fuji Neopan SS which works perfectly well btw. ☺️ #analog #35mm #120mm #largeformat #filmphotography

It better be nice outside. Currently looking forward to ~3 weeks off work and have about a third of my fridge occupied by film right now. 🫣

Immensely happy to see more LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS. Don't get me wrong, Secret Level was kinda neat, but this is it, I really don't need more video game stuff. If only they could match the Volume 1 trailer... "aggressive" and "in your face" should be the default vibe for this stuff. #LDR

What an enterprising pair of go-getters! I wish them all the success in the world and the rest of us that they'll be distracted by their spud for at least a couple of years. 🥔

Two days until Blue Prince and Talos:Reawakened, one week until my 23 'maybe this will keep the burn out at bay for a while!?' days off work, two weeks until my birthday - which will be hopefully uneventful and just another boring day. All things considered this month might suck less than average. 🤞

Love this album more with every track they put out. Can't wait to put on this record, sit down with a glass of whatever I fancy that day, put on my headphones, and give it a listen somewhere near the end of this month. bruitofficial.bandcamp.com/album/the-ag...

Satisfactory did it best imho. Overlaying alien spiders-analogs with static cat-shaped censor bars makes me almost hate bending the alien flora and fauna to my will. But ADA keeps telling me they aren't really cats so it's fine.

As a 10+ years, and thankfully long retired, Eve Online player I hate that I can finally say this in the 'Real World'™: Slopes for the slope God. If only that stable genius wouldn't have any influence of the rest of the world this would be a whole lot funnier. Are you winning yet? Can we stop now?

Don't think I've ever seen a trailer overstay its welcome as hard as this one. And has it really been almost 12 years since the first MewGenics teaser? Fuck. 🤨 Anyway, didn't think I would see this released. Ever. Added to the #Steam wishlist and now hoping it will be as nice as Issac. 😹

New We Lost the Sea coming in July. Hit that pre-order button so hard. And will probably again once it hits Dunk! 🤣 'A Dance With Death' is great and just what I needed today... but "All strings on ‘The Gloaming’ written, recorded and mixed by Sophie Trudeau" has me more than a little excited. 🙃

Can't say I'm surprised... not really anyway. Sadly this won't change anything about this shitty little 'gaming culture war' grift going on. Listened to the whole of #deafheaven LPWP about ten times or so by now... absolutely in love with it. It's no Sunbather but pretty fucking close to it. Probably my AOTY unless something really surprising comes along within the next eight months. Hoping for a EU tour - festivals don't count.

Einstürzende Neubauten - Haus der Lüge. A drawing of a red horse ob black background. I leave what the horse is doing up to you individual imagination.

I probably shouldn't have listened to this at the age of 12 or 13. This together with NIN's Broken EP might have damaged my taste in music irreparably. Or did they...?

And yes... I'm a dirty pirate sometimes, couldn't wait, not until next week. Specially after seeing those "I got my vinyl early" over the last couple of weeks on Reddit. Absolutely no regrets. 😅 In my defense... see image.

Half way through 'Lonely People with Power' and what can I say other than I love it and I can't wait for the vinyl to arrive sometime next week. Beats Roads, Bermuda, and OCHL so far, not sure if it'll top Sunbather yet... waiting/hoping for a new The Pecan Tree to pop up. #deafheaven are so back. 🖤
