Yes, medical doctors stitched my liver back together after a car accident. But a naturopath saved me from a pacemaker, and another naturopath saved me from a diagnosis that would have hooked me on a lifetime of medications that make you feel ill at all times.

I get it now. Yeah, every twenty years it's the next brave new world. I'm reading Die Schönheit der Nacht and Beautiful Nights concurrently. As expected, it's like reading two different books, even as the transl. is faithful, because my American Self has different lenses than my German self.

What big thing did I learn from my characters while writing my current romance novel? I thought I knew how they’d feel at certain points—but when we got there, they were deeper than me. Biden said "Don't question the motive, question the action," worked for him in politics, yet the bad guys won. Now, let's admit that the dominant US actors are operating in bad faith. And let that motivate love and compassion— for the victims, for the planet, for ourselves. #love #politics #truth

Hmm, I think we're talking about two different things. "Romance" between two people and that which is "romantic." With the former, I think there has to be an aspect of idealization for it to be romance. My partner, to me, is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Ours is definitely a 20-year romance
