Japanese Fans probably know about the Ninku series… but I’m not sure where else it was ever released. The Ninku movie was sold in America as a double feature alongside the Yuyu Hakusho movie (and that was my introduction to the series!) but that was it, I believe.

Naruto X Ninku!!! More Naruto anime is (of course!) great but I am truly *ecstatic* that we’re getting new Ninku animation!! Ninku is such an amazing series, and “crossovers” in general are very rare in Japanese animation. I cannot *wait* for this to come out!

OK folks, thanks for all the messages! I think I'm good for now as far as animator-options go! Unless you're an established super-animator on anime or the Castlevania series or something😅... I don't need anymore people reaching out. If that changes I'll let you know. 👍

I'll be looking for animators soon to help on something I'm directing. I'm open to giving a chance even to artists who haven't participated in Japanese productions before, so if you're interested (and have a VERY good portfolio!) send me a message or post a link to your work!

Hey, sorry to say, but that was *not* me. I like Re:Zero and have considered working on it before ... but the timing hasn't worked out. I'll have some announcements about things I *have* been working on coming up next month! 😁

Finally *Finally* finished with all my back work. 😭😭 I tell people all the time not to take on too many projects at once but I didn’t follow my own advice this last year. Finally done though and can now focus on *one job* like a normal person. 😮‍💨

Working in the anime industry would be so much more fun if the deadlines weren't as brutal. I often look down at what I'm drawing & think "Damn, this is like living the dream" only to look at the calendar & realize I have to get it all done in an agonizingly short amount of time.

Been going through Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth on Hard mode as a way to replay it & complete stuff I didn’t during my first playthrough. I just finally… after *hours*… beat hard mode Rufus. Mother of god. That was not fun at all. I was a hair’s breadth away from rage quitting.

Forgot to post this last week, but the Pokemon Go 10th anniversary event was hands down the best event the game has ever had. I was able to level up, as well as get and evolve so many Pokemon I haven’t been able to so far… including *every* Unown. Good stuff! #pokemon #pokemongo #shinypokemon

New Patreon video coming soon! I was going to talk about the recent project I directed, but seeing how strict they are about me mentioning anything, I'm gonna opt to talk about my Key Frame animation on "The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife" anime series instead! Stay tuned!

Hey all, Just wanna mention I had to take down all the PUBG x Naruto Shippuden posts I made which included screenshots. The rights holders on this one are strict it seems so no screenshots from me until/unless I get special permission. The link to the video is OK though so please check that one out!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I get very little interaction here on Bluesky 😞 My latest Naruto posts have hundreds of “likes” and lots of comments on the other platforms… but here, almost nothing. If Bluesky wants to be the next “big” SNS, people gotta interact more 😅

Yea. I reported a roommate stole money from me back when I lived in New York (like took money then bailed & never came back)…and the police almost literally said on the phone “OK, and what would you like us to do about it? That’s something you just have to work out with your friend. Ok bye.” *sigh*

(I ended up getting nothing from my wallet back and had to cancel every card in there ... and I only got into my godaddy account long enough to *cancel* my account completely and move to a different company. In the end no one *really* helped me with anything at all.)

Henry Thurlow @henry-thurlow.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

Ughh... terrible. I feel like customer service all over the world is just horrible now. The last few companies I contacted about needing help (Off the top of my head, I lost a wallet a few years ago and had a huge problem with my godaddy account a little while back) they just completely ignore you.😞

Saw the new Keroro Gunso movie this weekend. It was kinda long and I wish the finale had crazier sakuga, but otherwise it was funny and cool to see the whole cast again after so many years. The character designs were reworked to be closer to the manga which was neat.

A short anime project I storyboarded & directed (for a major franchise you'll all know) will be released sometime within the next couple weeks. This *isn't* any of the big projects I've hinted at before. This is an extra something that suddenly came up. BUT, it's pretty cool.😁

For the first time EVER this week I felt my vote in an American election actually meant something. Every candidate Zohran Mamdani endorsed won resoundingly. The word “socialism” & being Anti-Israel-genocide are apparently not the death knells they once were, at least in New York.

「透明男と人間女～そのうち夫婦になるふたり〜」の打ち上げは楽しかった😁 I went to the anime completion party for “The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife” series. Met the voice actors, the Mangaka herself, and of course hung out with the ep11 director himself, Chafik.

My One Piece episode 1066 storyboards were 153 pages. The current -series-name-redacted- boards I'm working on are well over 300 pages 😭😭 FML That's why it's taking so long.😵‍💫

I don’t follow sports much but I love to see New York win. Congrats to the Knicks! I know it’s wholly unrelated but this somehow also feels like a win for Mamdani’s socialism. 😂 New York’s just crushing it. It’s been a while since I’ve been proud of the USA in any way.

…It was fine, but it was realistically information the we, the reader, have always had. It’s interesting that Guts now also knows it… but I need to see how the whole scene plays out and how this influences the overall direction of the story before forming a full opinion.

021

Henry Thurlow @henry-thurlow.bsky.social · 14/06/2026

(Spoiler free!) I’ve seen people going nuts about the new Berserk chapter being the BEST EVER and also a few people complaining it’s terrible. I think YouTube reaction videos have made it impossible now for people to say something is just “fine” and not freak out. 😅 For me…

151

Henry Thurlow @henry-thurlow.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

New Berserk chapter at long last! The “To Be Continued” page says another chapter is coming in a couple weeks! (We’ll see if that ends up being true or not 😅)

I've come into work everyday the last 3 days saying "OK today's the day I finish this one thing I'm working on"... and 3 times now I'm leaving going "WOW some of that took longer than I expected. Tomorrow for sure though!" *Sigh* The struggle never ends w/ some of these projects.

Finally I’ll say that over-all I still put this pretty high on the list of “great shonen” series. (It’s not in ONE PIECE/DBZ/HXH territory, but I was still impressed many times while reading)… AMAZING sakuga could elevate it, so I’m looking forward to the anime’s continuation!😁
