There’s your home #parkrun, and then there’s your home-town #parkrun. #Kiellinieparkrun is the latter for me. I grew up near here and studied in Kiel, then moved away for work. The weather alternated between rain and sunshine, and the views of the Kieler Förde were great. 59 finishers today.

Difficult choice for me in Plön post office this morning when I had to pick stamps out of a selection of Batman, Start Trek, Shaun the Sheep, and Whitney. Still feel bad that I let Whitney down... maybe I should have started collecting stamps just for the sake of buying a Whitney stamp?!

"Tag der deutschen Einheit" #parkrun special at #volksgartenparkrun saw 164 participants and 24 volunteers this morning. Perfect weather for outdoor activities and (as far as I am concerned) for going to the movies later to see "The Beast of Mossy Bottom". Enjoy the public holiday 😀

Ended my tourist streak at event #303 of #volksgartenparkrun. 125 finishers and 18 wonderful volunteers enjoyed perfect conditions for their #parkrun walk/hike/jog/run/support. And, yes, the geese were outnumbered, at least the ones showing up in the start area.

The Backstreet Boys are in town for their ten consecutive shows at Düsseldorf’s football arena. A friend offered me a ticket for €185 (!), but I guess I was already too old when they were big to spend that much. Anyhow, I expect many BSB fans to do the tourist thing at #parkrun in Volksgarten.

First #schlossrheydtparkrun done! And I got a Wilson index number at last. The 2-lap course through the forest and by the castle was stunning (even if I forgot to take a photo - an old stamp will do!). 126 finishers, a fantastic team, and all the cake. Perfect morning! #parkrun

Becausr I saw some disappointment here: Missed out on London Marathon? Why not try the Düsseldorf Marathon on 18 April 2027? Registration is affordable, you can warm up at #volksgartenparkrun the day before, and getting there is easy. Plus, enjoy amazing local craft beer and top-notch Japanese food!
